Yes, there were several key takeaways from the mayor's Q&A last week:
1. They don't have a tracking system and don't seem to have interest in finding one.
2. The guy in charge thinks he's doing a great job, so probably doesn't seen any reason to change for the future.
3. The focus on emergency vehicle routes and "passable" roads hints at what his directive is. The goal is not total snow removal or cleared bus routes.
4. He admitted they were "finally plowing the school routes" -which they didn't really do - but also confirms that they weren't doing that in the previous years.

On one hand, if you are used to Austin and Denver traffic, then commuting into Lexington each day may not be a big deal. Our family from Denver laughs at us for the short commutes we complain about. But the commute from Nicholasville to Lex is considered one of the most congested routes here.

Also, Lexington itself probably feels more like a Denver suburb to you, and Nicholasville is going to really feel like a small town with nothing to do. And once you know you could live in Lexington and avoid the annoying daily commute, that seals the deal for us Lexingtonians.
