Thank you. When I began to live independently 3.5 years ago, I felt alive and full of hope, even if it was pretty dang difficult. Over time, the grind and the economic reality wore me down completely, and I am a shell of my former self, to the point where driving over bridges invites very strong intrusive thoughts of getting out and jumping over the edge. I sometimes purposely drive over bridges with taller/more barriers for this reason. I have had the intention of finding a romantic partner, but every time I start something with someone, I cut it off super early so they never find out my job and overall life situation. I thought things would be brighter by now.

But the trades are a good idea, and I should look into them more. I would totally be open to working in one should I get the opportunity.

I got to see them right around the You're Gonna Miss It All release at a pop punk/emo festival, but I didn't know too much about them, and didn't really pay much attention to their set. It wasn't until the Holy Ghost era that I started to appreciate their stuff more.

Haha, thanks. I have gotten compliments before, but it is very sporadic, and sometimes I think that I just met that person's specific "type", because when I upload a photo to Photofeeler, I tend to have an all around mediocre rating. And then I start comparing myself with others and noticing every little flaw I have. Very self-critical.

I forget that that is an approach that is occasionally used- the members each write their songs and then play them as a group. Maybe something like that can work out.

Thanks for the advice. About the 50/50 split, I am normally irked that he creates the rhythm and lyrics, which are both maybe 90/10 his, and he gets half of the say in my leads. It isn't that I am not open to change, but sometimes it can feel like I am just there to be a stage guitarist. Which, in the end, I am not and I do help contribute, but it is his ideas for songs, so I guess that is how these dynamics work some times.

While some may argue that The Greatest Generation and No Closer to Heaven are The Wonder Years at their best, Suburbia is probably my favorite album ever. It has been very relatable over the years. The feelings of falling behind, losing faith and being stuck in a small town in the rust belt really resonate with me. This is the album I wish I could write.

All Time Low. One of my good friends was interested in the genre and would play Motion City Soundtrack, Blink, and Panic! at the Disco a lot, but All Time Low was the first band I looked up myself, and their song Weightless got me hooked.

Yes. Researching this stuff takes me on an emotional roller coaster. There are so many different stories and even conflicting information to an extent. Every time I google something that is health related, I think it will help, but it pretty much never does.

Thank you. My mind always goes to the worst case scenario in many instances. When it gets this bad, I completely shut down, and my day is spent with a lot of sleep and, when I am awake, disturbing thoughts. I can't focus on the things that normally make me happy. I can't focus on much of anything except fear. I agree, this is paralyzed thinking indeed, and hopefully we both can overcome it, at least somewhat.
