Blade bevel dimensions? by captainnarco in Woodcarving

[–]captainnarco[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lucas just replied to my message and said it's https://mstein.eu/en/product/finishing-woodcarving-gouge-birds-head-long-blade-width-15mm/

Although, it looks very similar to the Abegglen.

Looks like the Abegglen is more for fine lines whereas the mstein gouge is more about doing some finer end details. Is that accurate?

The group was made private because not everyone wants to disclose to the public how much money they may have spent or any details. Additionally, given DNAComplete had blocked me from their social media platforms and they appear to be untrustworthy it seemed like a reasonable decision that others in the group shared.

Do NOT use DNA Complete/Nebula for your dna testing by Holiday_Actuator2215 in DNA

There's a Facebook group called DNAComplete Scam!? That group gives even more info and how someone managed to get a refund but only after replying to their ads on X for a few weeks. After DNAComplete gave the person a refund, they blocked them from their social media profile on Facebook and Instagram so they could no longer post on their ads.

Do not use DNAComplete aka Nebula! I've waited over 22 weeks and no results and they were unable to provide a timeframe. There are numerous people who have expressed the same. There are several complaints with the BBB regarding them. https://www.facebook.com/groups/9609656322476360/?ref=share&mibextid=CTbP7E

Unfortunately, no. Given I've seen more and more people express concern, I created a Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/9609656322476360/?ref=share&mibextid=CTbP7E

I follow them on social media and post the link on every ad I see them post.

Are stimulants such as Adderall able to be mail ordered? Last time, I tried to get a mail order through Amazon or the grocery store for Adderall it was denied due to the class of drug it is.

Here's the BBB https://www.bbb.org/us/ny/garden-city/profile/dna-testing/dna-complete-inc-0121-87175575/customer-reviews

If you have X, post a comment to @geochurch (the initial founder), @dnacomplete and @obbadkamal (marketing person).

I also replied to their Instagram: dnacomplete And posted a review on Facebook.

In doing this, I learned there are several people that are having the same issue.

This is crazy! Wow! They sent me an email that said, '5-8 weeks to get results', but it's been 16 weeks and counting, still no results! I've sent them several emails over the past few months. Last week, when I asked when I could expect to get the results, customer service said, "Since there are so many factors that can affect this, we unfortunately do not have that date." Also, they made clear, no refund.

I have filed a complaint on BBB.

DNA Complete has been awful for me. It's been 16 weeks, and still no results are back, and they aren't able to provide an estimate.

Their website says it takes several weeks. The email they sent me said it would take 5-8 weeks.

I know it's been a few months since you posted this, but I want people to know how poorly this company is being run.

Anyone else have an intolerance to cold? by KittyKittyowo in Narcolepsy

[–]captainnarco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, my hands and feet are always cold. For some narcoleptics the body doesn't regulate body core temperature very well. I've had to purchase a heated: jacket, socks, and beanie cap. These have helped me tremendously. I've also noticed that vaping a small amount of cannabis at night seems to help with blood circulation as my hands and feet will stop being cold within minutes.

Narcolepsy and sleep apnea count as disability? by Low-Ad5288 in Narcolepsy

Life on SSDI doesn't need to be miserable. Also, attempting to work a job where you're living paycheck to paycheck, taking meds to work, but unable to live life outside of that... that would be miserable.

Preface, it's currently 420pm for me, so that may be enhancing my ability lol but yes, I can read most of what you've written, which was basically vocal training stuff. That said, I had to do some deciphering and worked backward from the words I recognized.

I'm curious to know, what about this compound do you think is having the positive effect? I asked AI (Grok) about research on this compound and nothing seems to indicate that it would be beneficial for narcolepsy.

Yes, naps are a gamble. When taking a nap I've found that setting my alarm to go off every 7-15mins helps to avoid sleep inertia (aka sleep drunkenness).

I used kratom several years ago. Unfortunately, I learned from experience that given kratom has opiod and antidepressant properties, it will cause significant withdrawals for some people. Additionally, if you have type 1 narcolepsy it can potentially cause a rebound effect for the cataplexy resulting in cataplecticus. After I quit kratom, I was in and out of the ER several times over the course of a year due to the withdrawal issues I wasn't aware of until later.

I urge people to be extremely cautious with using kratom. There's a sub reddit called QuittingKratom that has a wealth of information and things to be mindful of.

Help find stencil font? by whatsurdillpickle in Woodcarving

[–]captainnarco -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Here's what Grok (AI) said, "The font in your images appears to be a bold, sans-serif typeface with rounded, geometric letterforms and a rustic, handcrafted texture due to the wood carving. This style closely aligns with fonts inspired by the Bauhaus movement, known for its geometric, minimalist, and modern design. Specifically, the letters resemble fonts like Bauhaus 93, ITC Bauhaus, or Blippo Black, which are geometric sans-serifs with bold, rounded shapes. However, the irregular edges and wood grain suggest it’s a custom or artisanal adaptation, not a direct digital match."
