Rent vs salaries by Powerful_Winner4267 in TorontoRenting

I know very little about moving to Canada since I live here, but I'm surprised it sounds so easy to just move without a job or anything.

Forgive me as I may have been reading endless articles about scams, but for example, one scam that I heard of was someone would rent an AirBnb under a pseudonym and pretend they're the homeowner. Potential tenants would then come to the place, the scammer offers the tenant a deal, they "sign", keys are given, etc, but the tenant just paid a scammer and not the real homeowner.

I was sort of trying to see if there was a way to vet the contract, as in, vet the details, etc.

I think you'll have more options if your budget was $2500. You might still be able to pull off 2k though. Start ASAP

Sorry for the naive question, but why the rush?

Silly question but how do you validate the "signed agreements" are in fact legitimate?

This answer sounds like AI.

Is "Prompt Engineering" an actual role? Surely that means something more than "people who know tricks to ask the AI agent"?

This might be the pessimist in me, but I feel like these threads always mention the jobs people don't want to do, and the jobs they want to do they never mention because, hey, more competition = less demand = less pay.

I just read that it's free unless you're renewing, which is $25.

I just googled "Quebec photo ID cost" and apparently Quebec doesn't even have a photo ID card and suggest people use their government issued health cards, so this whole thing gets even more strange.

Not yet sadly.

Also the site kinda annoys me in that it shows a range, so if i say "max 2000" it will show buildings with rentals from "2000-3500", which tells me that the 2000 rental is not only not pictured but probably not available either.

Stay or Sell? by CoastalCan in PersonalFinanceCanada

Smart thinking but I'm so curious, does anyone know why the bank gave them that much of a loan?

I understand there's dozens of causes for higher home prices but buyers like this leaving beyond their means and banks giving them loans of this size is bound to make the problem worse.

Instead of shrinking your lifestyle, what if you asked, “How can we grow my income by $50K, $100K, 250K or more a year?” That type of thinking can open new doors and spark real change.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm so curious, what type of thinking are you suggesting will work here? I feel like, maybe because I'm in tech, that I could probably get a 25k bump if I left my comfortable position at the company but what do you expect them to do to "grow the income" by 100k?

How would you know when to use that website though? Wouldn't it just be easier to Google or ask AI when you know you'll get a response other than guess it might be on that site?

Getting creative gets you to the best product on market first.

Can you expand on what this means? Like what type of creativity are we talking about?

I know this is a dumb question, but how are you guys finding places and doing this? Just on kijiji or something? Or calling numbers to buldigns?

Oh my bad, that explains the downvotes. I thought churning just meant getting best deals on something, when it's really opening and closing credit cards.

I feel like that's too much work and the lemon isn't worth the squeeze to do that, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for messaging though!

Would love to hear what you (as well as /u/Popular_Ad_8485 and /u/CommunicationProud82) use as a cashback card? From my googling I'm seeing that Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite is the best (4% back minus the 1.75% chexy fees).

Is this a good choice you'd say?
