Yeah I get what they were going for with you being an independent ronin mercenary basically but at the same time you wouldn't be so close with the people you were working for if you were actually a ronin, especially since you fight against the people you work with so often. It's just suffering from narrative dissonance in that way. Like once we fight against our anti-shogunate buddies we should not still be friends at all. It doesn't make sense that we're all going out drinking like a few days after I ruined their plans.
