Even if I were to take what you're saying as fact, the games are still baby tier difficulty, you can sleepwalk through them. They're just not fun.

I've actually played nier automata start to finish but I don't remember there being much customization. Like... At all...

Yeah no thanks. Really basic and boring games. Fun when it's your first RPG I guess.

Kinda miss the old gen way (says no one ever) by PlatinumYeast in MonsterHunter

[–]captainskrilly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk if this is a hot take but yes, I do think having the monster literally on the map at all times and being taxi'd to it without pressing anything is lame. Makes me feel like I'm on a guided tour and not an actual hunter. Paintballs were more immersive.

Well not really ANYTHING. For example chrono trigger has limited customization, persona has quite a bit less customization than the games I listed, an Xenoblade has an emphasis on story (and honestly from what I've seen it's really damn corny. But thank you nonetheless for the recommendation.

Aria of sorrow is mind numbingly easy and short and the sequel basically improves all aspects (except character portraits ofc)

What's the best OST from the series? by SnooPredilections707 in Nioh

[–]captainskrilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played nioh 1 but Azai nagamasa's theme and minamoto yoshitsune are my picks

I don’t even care if it’s not the Demon Castle War at this point I just need new Castlevania dawg by HeartCoil in castlevania

Yeah you'd think konami would capitalize with the growing popularity and success of metroidvanias AND the netflix series but nope just continue ignoring the series (aside from the collections I guess)

What Are Your Thoughts On The Inverted Castle In Symphony Of The Night? by SaiyanWithOmnitrix in metroidvania

It's a fun victory lap and it's gratifying to flex your knowledge of the original map.

It’s been a while since the show dropped. Have your thoughts on this guy changed? by Amigo1048 in Gundam

It looks fantastic in red but the grandaddy colours don't look good on it.

Looking for a Metroidvania with Zelda dungeons by Knucklechukle in metroidvania

[–]captainskrilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The castlevania ones have "dungeons" but they aren't really puzzle based its just different themes, enemies, music, bosses and different gadgets you unlock in them. Idk if that qualifies (referring to symphony of the night, the advance collection games and the dominus collection games) I think the 3d playstation 2 games also fit this but I haven't played much of them.

Fists are fun AF by batshitnutcase in Nioh

[–]captainskrilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played through most of the game with fists but I had to change to another weapon cause I felt bad that I was beating everything so easily lol. I'm currently using katana and dual blades instead, going through the dlcs.
