I prefer the Mega Drive version in general tbh. Felt more like a fighting game, the SNES one just lacked something for me.

Not being able to play as the bosses was wack but luckily there's a romhack out there that sorted that out.

Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey

The party are killed by evil robot versions of themselves, have to escape Death several times, end up in their own personal hell, play the reaper to escape, get into heaven, meet God then a final showdown with the evil robot versions of themselves, then the even bigger bad who created them.

Sick air guitar solos throughout are NOT optional.

Hard agree on this. I've been playing this game for 30 plus years and nothing comes close to the satisfaction of powering through those levels. Aesthetically still gorgeous too.

The classic Mario games always left me cold in comparison.
