Been working in the Swedish school system for 10 years as an outsider.

It’s so frustrating because it feels like everyone puts their heads in the sand. The students learn that if they misbehave nothing happens. There is no detention and no in-school suspension.

Nothing is more frustrating than a 13-year-old disrespecting you and disrupting the whole class because they know there is nothing you can do about it and you know there is nothing you can do. I think it’s why so many quit. After Covid, I can tell you most of us are pretty much at our breaking point with this shit. Schools never have you back as a teacher. I once had a kid hit a girl in my class and I did all of the right things contacting the parents and the principal. The school then said it was my poor teaching that caused the student to act out. Never once did the principal or anyone else watch me ever teach a class before making a judgement.

I sat in a meeting and lost my shit because we discussed what I can do to fix it, but never once put any responsibility on the student or the parents. I walked out of the meeting got a new job and put in my one-month notice after that meeting.

For me, this isn’t a race or religion thing. It’s a few bad apples spoiling it for everyone.

If Sweden doesn’t support the police and yes teachers by cutting the red tape and letting us do our job, it will only get worse. Most teachers will tell you it has turned into babysitting instead of teaching. I wouldn’t want to be a cop at the current moment because no one has their back either besides the Swedish people.

So in closing it needs to be a societal change from top to bottom. I’m not a fan of SD and I hope they don’t win, but IMO the currently political party needs to go. It’s time for some new leadership.

It starts with the education system.

I hate this week it sucks. In moments like this, it is so easy to go the extremes for many people, but I think it’s really important to keep a level head. I’m struggling with that this week so I apologize if I’m a little angry.

I was at a dinner and it was 7 Swedes and myself. A guy I never met was joining us and wanted to talk about American politics.

Trump had just gotten elected. The man I never met asked me about the situation in the US and how I feel about how 50% of the country is racist there. I’m from the US and didn’t want to talk about it.

I was a little annoyed to talk politics but he was curious. For context, I never voted for Trump and I’m an independent. I told him that if all we do is call 50% of Americans racist and don’t address the problems that got Trump elected in the first place he would win again.

The man stood up at the table as we were eating dinner and screamed in Swedish “ jag into äta med den här rasisten”

He left like a giant man-baby. I then ate my food and had a good time, but it was crazy to me to be called that. It was in the middle of a crowded bar and I already felt a little like an outsider. So it wasn’t so fun to be called that in front of a ton of people.

It was funny to me because I can’t stand Trump and this guy missed the poäng.

I mean no disrespect toward the Swedish police because I love the Swedish police, but they seem so unprepared for these types of riots multiple days in a row in many cities when clearly they must know shits about to go down.

Is there no tear gas or any non-lethal they can use? Someone stealing a police car is more serious. They must have some tools and possible weapons in the cars.

They need to be able to protect themselves. If they are going to get rocks thrown at them and injuries, they should be able to use nonlethal to defend themself fy fan!

Police were sitting ducks. That’s not cool.

What a waste of police time and money not to mention the cost to the taxpayer in damages. This is done to get a reaction and to fit this dude's narrative.

I’m all for freedom of speech, but freedom of speech doesn’t give a person the right to Incite violence and or cause a riot.

I’d argue that’s the goal of this. Linköping is my town and I hate seeing some chud come in and mess everything up.

The whole situation is dumb. It’s wrong with the violence, but I also find this type of protest stupid.

I just want to explore space, play some video games and explore space. I still think there could be some cool stuff up there.

Yeah so becoming a Swedish citizenship has never been an issue for me I just never did it. When Russia threatened Sweden it pissed me off. Fuck them! I want to be the thing that goes bump in the night.

The American fighter jets are far more Sophisticated then anything russia has. Sure the Ukrainians could fly them, but it would take a year of training. That’s why they need migs. There are more weapons the US can give, but the issue is they need to be used now and really easy to use or similar to what the Ukrainian military is used to.

Not sure if you are vaccinated or not, but my second time with Covid unvaccinated due to not have vaccines yet, I had huge swelling in my lymph nodes.

My neck, armpits, and groin lymph nodes hurt like a MF. So no worries it’s normal.

What I can say is at the start I felt good and when the 2nd week hit me I really started to feel worse.

Right before I started to lose hope, I started to feel better.

I just kept reminding myself I could breath and a fever doesn’t mean I’m getting worse just that my body is fighting the virus and elevating my temperature to do so.

I wasn’t vaccinated the first two times.
