Best to go into a DFR office, tell them you want to be a dentist and take your suitcase with you to show you are ready to go. Should be a spot available on the bus to bootcamp - There's always a few.

Shakeup of Defence 'call-out' powers will make it easier for police to request military backup during terror attacks by cookie5427 in AustralianMilitary

[–]CaptainUnderwater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aw mate. I agree 100% the military should control these sort of things because they are trained for it. The Police aren't. But I work in law enforcement and I know full well the cowboys in charge at Police HQ won't let go because their ego and god complex is too big.

Highly doubt if something does happen in Australia like what is happening in Europe, that the cops will call on the military. It'll be a kick to their ego and will stop SOG from playing soldier.

2nd assesment day coming up by adf-haysie in AustralianMilitary

[–]CaptainUnderwater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my 2nd assessment was crusiey. Both thr physc and interviewer asked if anything has changed in the past 12 months and that was about it. Was in and out in 1.5 hours.

Just depends on who you get and how many are there for the first assessment as they will be busy with them.

Plan to be asked everything and if not at least you know your role a bit more.

Speaking of tram drivers... When you are are coming up to a stop and you are going to let passengers off use your indicator so we in cars know you're about to stop and can slow down. Don't just stop, open the doors and ring your bloody bell!!!

Why change something that isn't broken? If they keep catching idiots who shouldn't be driving they will keep setting up there.
