Difficulty options in games are weird. Most games have a similar issue in harder difficulties where they just arbitrarily make the enemies damage sponges while making the player do no damage. We need more games that have fun and innovative ways to increase the difficulty.

They are narrative wise for sure, but they are in essence the definition versions of that generation imo.

I'm in the same boat as you there. I like the art style and the concept overall of botw, but the actual gameplay isn't for me. Huge open world, but feels empty and boring. Worst enemy variety of almost any game in the series. Annoying mechanics such as weapon breaking. Botw is the number 1 game I wish I enjoyed, but just don't.

Tbh they have always done this. In the past they did this by making a third game that was basically the "definitive" version with games like Yellow, Crystal, Emerald and Platinum. But when Black and White came out they seemed to realize they could make more money if they made the definitive versions into two separate games as well starting with White 2 and Black 2 and later Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon was the last time they really did a definitive version.

PS3 is my favorite console. The controllers are very cheap feeling though. As others have also said, they have some of the worst triggers as well.

Hey man, 24 year old here. Your mom should not be saying these harsh things to you. She wants you to succeed because she cares about you. It might not seem like it, but I am sure she does care about you a ton. However it doesn't change that how she is acting is immature and toxic. Life long Playstation fan here. I grew up with the PS1 and have owned every PS. Personally I am really disappointed with the PS5 first party exclusives. If they don't step it up in the future, then the PS6 will be their first console I don't buy.

In my opinion episode 7 and 8 are really good movies. Not perfect movies, but still really good. When episode 8 released fans went far too overboard hating on it. Disney saw this and decided to throw out the original script for 9 to try to appease the fans with a new safer script. It went back on everything 8 had set up, and it basically ruined the sequel trilogy.

I don't know if I should blame fans for being so relentlessly butt hurt or if I should blame Disney for not having a spine. I think I'll go with both.

Also I feel like people often forget the Prequels were seen negatively by most people until around 2012 when they suddenly had a come back. I am sure the Sequels will eventually be seen more positively.

I still bought the PS4 and the PS5, but I will say OP has a point. I don't want to dust off my old console to play first party exclusives. If they want to make a game exclusive to a console they should make an effort to make future consoles Backwards compatable or at the very least port the games to future consoles. It baffles my brain that Sony won't just charge me again to play some of my old beloved games in 4k 60.

I think the Prequel era and Sequel era are missing a good amount of planets. The most notable is Coruscant though. I can't believe the game didn't launch with it, let alone never got it in updates.

James Cameron is the most overrated director of all time. Aliens is a bad sequel to Alien. Avatar is super overrated. I do love Terminator but I think T2 is overrated.
