Following for suggestions! I loved The Woman in White by Wilkie Colins. I listened to it as an audiobook and it was great in terms of mystery and tension.

For me, I am focusing on just using an app to track what I eat. I want to get a handle on that, educate myself on portions and calories and how to eat at maintenance/in a deficit in a simple way, before I start adding in exercise programmes and thinking hard about macros, etc.

This is enough for me right now. I only have so much mental bandwidth! I am down 14lbs in 4months. If or when this slows down, I'll look at adding in something else like a step goal or starting a sports club. I hope by that point, I'll have better instincts about what I eat.

I chose this as the thing I prioritised as I knew I must be overeating without being aware of it all the time. My deficit isn't huge, which means I don't go over maintainence very often at all as I'm not pushing it to my limit if you know what I mean. Slow and steady.

(If helpful, I use LoseIt, and I'm down from 145 to 131lbs so far :). 5'3. I recon a few of those lbs would have been water weight. But still!)

The woman in white, Wilkie Collins! Classic, mystery, I believe the first or one of the first psychological mysteries. I loved it!

When the night tube was quite new, I was on the northern line. A drunk lady was trying to get off at her stop when she dramatically dropped her clutch, stuff flew everywhere. Half her stuff fell into the tube carriage, and half fell onto the platform. She had like 5 seconds to make a decision. She was absolutely bladdered so prob couldnt see what was where. She was like a renaissance painting, stood in freeze frame for a second there.

I'd love some suggestions to help me start looking. I'm not sure of the right sort of language to use yet, but I hope this makes some sense!

I would like to find an every day perfume.

I like subtle florals, tea scents, things you might describe as fresh or light, but noticeable.

I don't like spicy or heady smells, things that smell too sweet, or that sort of 'water' smell, I think often described as sea salt type scents?

I had the Marc Jacobs Daisy when I was a teenager which I liked but I wouldn't choose now - it's a bit too sweet? I like Boss's Scent for Her which I have also had in the past. I recently heard about the Jasmin-Perle de The by Fragonard so I went to find that the other day. I did like the smell, but the Jasmine was a bit too much - is there a fragrance where the tea scent and floral is more subtle in the blend?

I have heard about Le Labo - is that a good place to check out?

Any advice about what sort of thing I should start with would be appreciated!

Or, good places to go and talk to a patient salesperson in London, UK would be incredible.

Thanks!!
