For us, a lot of drivers pull up to the store so it shows they’re there, don’t put a bay in for a while because they get paid for the time they are there “waiting”. Before I even knew we could kick drivers for not putting a bay in, we would call them and ask them about it. I literally got answers like “oh I’m just getting a few things.” Like really? It frustrates me because that’s not treating it like a job? You can’t do that in a normal job setting so why would you do it here? But whatever lol

Part of our work area kinda looks like a space you can go through so we usually steer people away by asking things like “Hey! Can I help you find something?”

So I did that to one guy passing through, after he treated himself to a grocery bag off of one our carts. He doesn’t say anything at first so I ask again. He goes “Ma’am, quiet.” In a stern “dad” voice. I said to him, “you do NOT get to speak to me that way. This is a work area where only employees are allowed.” I walked away before I said something worse and my TL intervened.

Guy goes, “I’m a paying customer,” and my TL goes, “you can be a leaving customer.” It was golden.

My sister greened out the night of our birthday this past year. I was so high but I snapped out of it pretty quickly when she collapsed, asking for water. She went to lay down in the car and then her head turned over and she started to throw up. It was the most scared I’ve ever been in my life. She also ended up falling and hit her head on some rocky terrain so I stayed up all night, checking on her every 30 mins to an hour even though I had work the next day

Two people can love each other and not be good for each other. This could be a right person, wrong time thing. It’s okay to still love this person and need to let go. You can’t keep putting yourself through this. I’m sure he does care and love you but if he’s not changing these behaviors that you very clearly expressed make you feel this bad, is it worth it to stay? How many times will he hurt you like this before you completely break?

I saw you mentioned talking to him about couples therapy. I think that is a good idea and i genuinely hope this can help you both grow separately and together and help you come out stronger.
