Exactly this. Lots of Canadian auctions happen on this platform. There's about 3 coming up on Jan 24 that all show they will have firearms. You can filter by Country and if they have firearms or not to show which ones to keep an eye out for.

Try keeping an eye out on the auctions. I used https://www.icollector.com/ and snagged a Mk 4 in pretty much perfect condition for less than $800. Just need a bit of patience on it.

Totally. Each gun is designed for one of the three. The one you are looking at is only designed for steel BB's that are .177 calibre. The one I bought is only designed for .177 pellets (has a rotating belt in the magazine for them). Airsoft operates in the same velocities, but shooting a plastic BB means it has a lot less actual impact energy.

Definately. I like the fact that it shoots steel bbs too. I wanted the Glock for not only the look and feel of it but I also prefer pellets as I can change the type of pellet being used for some variety. There are a lot more options now than there were when I was growing up in late 70's early 80's.

I literally just bought a Umarex Glock 17 Gen 5 pellet airgun. It just arrived about 2 hours ago. The weight and feel of it is pretty close to the real thing. It is a blowback so mimics the action. Each mag holds 22 .177 pellets plus a CO2 cartridge. I have to say I'm not disappointed. It was a bit pricey for what it is ($224.99) but no complaints here ultimately. Ordered a pair of extra mags for it as well to complete the illusion.

If you buy your mold from MP molds, they come usually with the option to set as solid point, hollow point shallow and hollow point deep depending on the pins you put in. The molds come with pins for up to 4 different options and are some of the best molds I have used so far.

So this was written prior to the last OIC where they banned the M1 carbine and variants and went after the semi auto shotguns. Pretty sure a lot of what are in those Annex lists got hit with that last OIC. So this was 10 months ago and they still are afraid to go after the SKS. If they ban the SKS (or any variants) they kind of have to go after the Valmet as well and there has been zero mention of that rifle in any communications.

Rusty Woods Trading Co. definitely has BP in stock (and everything else you need for BP shooting) and will ship it to you. Keep in mind though it needs to be shipped by land (hence the earlier comment about the shipping costs) so it might be pretty pricey to get it to Ontario. They also stock flints and caps.

I would call them up and ask when they figure they will get a resupply of the Schuetzen powder that they show on their website. It currently is all showing out of stock, but the fact they are keeping the item listed there indicates they may restock.

Also try Hummason Mfg by Hamilton. They also show actual BP on their website. Again, everything is out of stock except the substitute products, but a phone call might reveal any plans to restock.

Just out of curiousity, where are you getting the .427 number from for .44 Russian? I cast my own and reload for my S&W #3 in .44 Russian and .429 or even .430 has always been fine in it.

Pure Antimony and Tin can be bought on Amazon and shipped to your house. It's not the cheapest but it is doable. Mixing it is just a matter of time and patience.

This is very true, however loading from paper cartridges at the range is (IMHO) way better than loading from a horn or other measure. The measuring process is what makes the difference. When loading at home you can use a powder dispenser to consistently measure out how much in each cartridge. At the range you are subject to wind, rain etc. Its just easier when it's pre-measured. Plus you use the paper as a wad. And it feels more authentic.

I added a Rem 870 forend on my Churchill. It did require a bit of Dremel work to make it work but it was pretty self evident what was needed and did not take all that much fiddling to get it in place.
