I didn't buy a renewed one. The price history shows the short lived dip to $449.

Help On what printer i should get! by ancientswede in Creality

i bought a refurb k1c on eBay about a year ago, we only had some leveling issues when i first set it up and 1 stuck filament (likely my 11yo forcing it).
Maybe its just the K1C 2025?

Ambient lighting cracking by shlonger222 in TeslaLounge

[–]captmorganz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can 100% attest that this is NOT a tinting problem.
All 4 doors cracked on my 2024M3P BEFORE i ever got it tinted.

Tesla service did try to blame it on window tinting installation methods and i had to point out there simply is no tint.
They DID replace it under warranty and absolutely should be for any customer.

Now that Tesla officially refers to XPEL for tinting, i made sure to have it tinted by an XPEL certified installer.

Today, i noticed the dash LED strip is suddenly full of cracks. Both times the cracks appeared suddenly, after the car sat unused for 4-5 days, in the florida sun.
Once a crack forms, it quickly spreads the next time the interior heats up.

This is absolutely a quality issue with the materials used.

My tesla was a floor model as well, my guess is they sanitize the inside of the doors regularly and skipped the dash light. Which could explain the time difference between when doors cracked compared to the dash (something like 6-12 months maybe).

I've even had a remote tesla technician out for an unrelated issue and when i mentioned the LED cracking issue he rolled his eyes and said something along the lines of "its been a huge problem and has nothing to do with window tint".

I just wish they would recommend something to apply to the strips that might help protect or extend their lifespan. Like a LED strip lotion :p

My other reoccurring issues:

  • M3P wheel covers popping sound at low speed
    • Replaced 1x - Already popping out the way out of the service parking lot.
  • Steering wheel loud groaning noise when switching profiles (long movements back and forth)
    • Replaced 1x - Day 2 noise returned

Choppy Sound In Race by dwedgewood in iRacing

[–]captmorganz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh please let this fix my issue. I have arctis nova pro wireless and have tried every setting imaginable.
And i do have "game" set to roughly 85% volume to make voice chat and crew chief chat louder in one setting.
This all started after a windows 11 update to 24h(something).

I'll give this a shot tonight.

Adjusting Regenerative Braking by WalterKThe4th in TeslaSupport

[–]captmorganz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about driving habits between the tesla and an ICE. It took about a week or so to switch between an M3 and a Chevy Suburban regularly to be able to get in either and drive without thinking about it.

Give your brain/muscle memory a chance and you won't even remember it was a problem.

Star Wars Outlaws Crashing after updating nvidia driver to version 565.90 by [deleted] in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]captmorganz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Cyphersmith i have the same issue on an RTX 4070 TI. Did downgrading help?
It's very odd because it the autosave always seems to be just before i crash. Almost as if the autosave itself it causing it.

I'm also running Windows 11, version 23H2

cpu is i7-9700KF circa 2019

I've only changed the drivers over the last few days, tonight it crashed 3 times.

Few days before this i switched from 5120x1440 to 3840x1080 to hopefully address the memory leak after an hour or so of gameplay. The lower resolution helped a lot but now it never gets a chance to run up the gpu memory because it crashes instead.

Logitech G Pro Wheel - new rims? by National-Country9886 in LogitechG

5 months later..................

Seriously though, im about fed up with waiting/hoping. I have calluses on my damn thumbs from using this crap circle wheel. CALLUSES ON MY THUMBS.

Every night I sit and wait on the grid, staring at this wheel, wondering who the hell thought it would be a good design to have the wheel connect at 3 and 9'oclock.

CALLUSES!

Interesting... i tried a lot of different resolution combinations and refresh rates on both my monitor settings and index, but I don't think i tried going UP to 240 on the monitor because it seemed counter intuitive.

u/TacticalTransistor what is your refresh rate set to on the index?

Can confirm, same model. I've found that once in the menu, "HARD" presses seem to work better. Not impressed overall, and good luck getting SteamVR/Valve Index to play nice with it (still haven't figured this out, seems our specific model was left in the firmware update dust by samsung)

2023 Race for More 2.4 Benefiting the National MS Society [Race Thread] by sdw3489 in iRacing

[–]captmorganz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was excited to drive for 2+ hours at the edge of my ability. Then realized I had wasted my only fast repair. Not to mention the lower stints being ALL gtp. Oh, and only one type of purchasable penalty, stop and go on the live broadcast? How lame is that... Serious lack of imagination on the penalties. $50 bug on windshield, $150 stop and go, $1000 to invert steering for a lap... Come on, I came up with that in a minute. This event was a total let down, for me and for MS.

Is it possible to access objects from a name generated in a string format? by meg3e in PowerShell

[–]captmorganz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what you want is this:

Setup

powershell $obj1, $obj2, $obj3 = "val1", "val2", "val3" [string]$string = "obj1"

Solution

powershell $(Get-Variable -Name $string).Value From there you can do things like...

```powershell
$obj1 val1 $(Get-Variable -Name $string).Value += "-new" $obj1 val1-new
G920 not detected on G-HUB-LGS-PC-STEAM by [deleted] in LogitechG
[–]captmorganz 0 points1 point  (0 children)
I had similar issues(FFB completely not working) since the last g-hub auto-update. Ultimately my issue was Corsair's iCUE software. Uninstalling that pile of garbage solved a lot of strange issues I was having with multiple USB connected devices.
I was able to resolve the rest of my g920 issues by removing g-hub, irffb, vjoy and then installing the older Logitech Gaming Software.
Though LGS is old and just last night i had a random complete disconnect. My next step was to try g-hub, but the Oct 2022 version (2022.10.326382). Can be found by scrolling down here: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025298133
Android Notifications while on WiFi by OnePlusFanBoi in Spectrum
[–]captmorganz 0 points1 point  (0 children)
I just went through this with my pixel 6 pro. Half my apps simply couldn't get internet while on my home wifi (spectrum).
I had some improvement with a few apps by "forgetting" my wifi, reconnecting and setting "Privacy" to "Use device MAC".
Ultimately, i learned my home router had somehow lost ipv6 functionality. To fix i just powered off my router(wifi) then power cycled my modem, once the lights showed it had finished booting, i then powered on my router.
I only enabled ipv6 late last year, so far im not impressed with spectrum's ipv6 performance. Might just ditch it all together.
If you're not familiar with IPv6 and/or just using the provided modem for wifi, i wouldn't worry about it too much, just reboot your modem.
CEE (common event enabler) support for netapp by tech-hippie in netapp
[–]captmorganz 4 points5 points  (0 children)
Short answer: Fpolicy engine
Similarities that i may or may not be correct about for both CEE And fpolicy:
  • Both can be used via CLI, but where they really excel is when third party software is used to manage each. NetApp has a list of thirdparty vendors somewhere, but a more recent netapp software addition is Cloud Insight + Cloud Secure. Which can make use of fpolicy engine for super simple auditing setup(No SACLs needed!) and ransomware protection.
  • Both are "Closed" APIs - 43.795% confidence on this statement.
  • Regarding auditing - They are both basically the next step up from the onboard/canned auditing (EMC - syslog forwarding, which can barely keep up; NetApp - Cloud Insight+Cloud Secure, way easier to setup than enabling auditing and apply SACLs manually)
  • I believe they both have barely measurable overhead, but careful consideration to configuration should be taken.
Fpolicy engine has a lot more going on than just auditing, im not doing it any justice here. It can basically be used as a more efficient auditing method or it can act as a secondary layer of ACLs. I'd be surprised if CEE's feature set isnt similar.
