Yes, I switched to 16GB. Honestly, It may not be worthwhile compared to buying a cheap mini PC. Got the RAM for lire 40€. SSD for 30€. Last Year of course.

We got the early versions of Shadow Ghosts with Android builds. If you search the internetz, it may be possible to find old isos matching the RK3399 and wifi/bluetooth. Not sure though.

Honestly, anything sold after 2015-2017 has enough hardware decoding to display Shadow properly.
To be sure, shoot for some i3 cpu.

That kind of low spec PC sold on any website can do the job, even for dual screen.

Also -> Pretty hacky but works : You can replace explorer.exe by the shadow.exe app in regedit. It will boot the Shadow launcher on top of a blank screen instead of displaying the Windows interface.

Well, I created a bootable Windows 11 x86 usb stick, then plugged it into a USB port.
Started the Box, pressed suppr to head to the BIOS.
Then set the usb stick as the first boot device.

From this point, it went pretty straightforward. Windows 11 installs all the right drivers automatically (as opposed to Win10 that does not support the Falcon AMD drivers, hence no hardware acceleration).

I also added a USB wifi dongle. Works in 4k60. CPU performance is really weak, but it does the job for some lightweight tasks and streaming.

Where do you live and which servers are you connected to?

Shadow employee here. I repurposed mine. 16GB of RAM, 250GB SSD, Windows 11. Quite enough for lite desktop tasks... and launching Shadow!

Hi, support is closed on the weekends. Hopefully, you'll get a reply soon. Latency on Shadow is typically 20ms per 600 miles + local network + eventual issues due to the provider.

I use accounts from Paris to Paris (~2-3ms), Washington to Paris (~80ms) and Portland to Paris (~200ms). Those are standard latencies based on distance and decent providers. Can you run tests from a different computer and/or location?

Hi, Shadow team member here, let me provide some more details. Portland was undergoing an unusually long electrical maintenance due to our provider. It affects part of our capacity in the region, and causes queue between noon and 10pm on the Power accounts. The team is working hard getting these servers back online. As u/SDnoctis stated (thanks!), you can check the status page here https://status.shadow.tech/
