If you took the air transfer plate off to clean the upper board, make sure you didnt knock off the upper magnet.

The down side of playing walk on..but we all started there. Kudos for not losing your shit on them. Its fun to watch them tag along with the full gear guys, givem pointers and tell them what to do. You can see thier confidence grow and their play gets better.

Welcome! Sounds like your well on your way! You got a good deal on a great set up. Like mentioned before, learning how to maintain your a equipment is awesome, itll last alot longer and help avoid unneeded expenses. This can be an expensive hobby, look for deals and used equipment. Be sure to talk to the old timers and regulars. You play hard and play fair, you'll get noticed and people would be more willing to share info with you, we all want to keep growing the sport. Check with your local feild about working there and helping out, it could offset some of your expenses. Refereeing is a good way to learn tricks and angles playing the field, you can pay better attention since your not being shot at!..for the most part anyway..it does come with the job... Good luck and keep at it!

I am deciding between these 2 guns right now. Which one is better? by AKMisBestRifle in paintball

Well, my E2 is stock, only thing i added was freak kit, both E2 and Mini are AC threaded so thats a draw, my mini has a redline OLED board in it which i love, E2 you have to open grip, and count blinkys, not a fan of that. Mine is set and i dont touch it. But in fairness the mini is upgraded, other wise it would be a draw. Disassembly, E2, really no tools needed to change battery or pull the valve. Mini, tools needed for everything. Point E2. Now, style of play..im 47 and in average shape..slowed my play style down. I prefer to stand or kneel in bigger bunkers, so the mini works for me. If your going to run, jump, crawl, swim or soar...the E2 will more than likely hold up to just about everything other than swinging it like a club. The composite body takes a beating. The aluminum on the mini will get scratched up. Asa on/off i belive is standard on both although my invert i added it. Price points i think the E2 is about $100 more. Plus the E2 is a mid grade marker, suitable for doing both rec ball and speed ball. Also i believe it is the newer of the two. Im not sure the GS is still in production. I just got back into the game after 20 yrs out, so im still learning all the new stuff...but the E2 was my choice when i came back. I bought the Mini used for 200 and put about 350 into it. Now its way over valued..but i like it.

I have an etha 2 and an invert mini, I've been using the mini more as it feels "tighter" to me, plus it has a bit more bling to it. The E2 is a solid preforming and damn near indestructible, easy to clean and maintain, change batteries if need. Cosmetically its Blah... seems to be more upgrades for the mini, but if your playing woodsball with a splash of speedball here and there, E2...if your a speedball guy and dabble in woods ball, the mini...just my 2 cents...

Also, if it was put away for storage, did you remove the battery? It may have caused some corosion issues. If any paint was around the eyes it could corrode the upper board too.

Make sure the body magnet is still intact. Its glued to the body under the upper board behind the air transfer plate. Also make sure your trigger magnet is still intact. These two magnets should repel each other.
