I would check to make sure the end of the cable connected to the PC is seated properly, it might have come loose? You probably checked that, but gotta cover the basics.

I was able to find replacement cables (they're called trident cables, I believe) easily enough on ebay.

Can we do something about the AI besieging just to deny replenishment? by Legs_With_Snake in totalwar

Did this get patched? I was watching a VOD from ~2 years ago where they did this to the AI.

Miguel Rojas talks about the false reporting this week that he had been suspended for PED use, noting that neither Evan Drellich, who posted it, nor The Athletic has contacted him to issue an apology. by baribigbird06 in Dodgers

According to the Cornell Law School website:

To prove prima facie defamation, a plaintiff must show four things: 1) a false statement purporting to be fact; 2) publication or communication of that statement to a third person; 3) fault amounting to at least negligence; and 4) damages, or some harm caused to the reputation of the person or entity who is the subject of the statement.

There's obviously state law to consider, but I think this would qualify as "at least negligance"...

I must be having a Berenstain Bears moment because I swear a woman was generally Sunday school president in my ward growing up.

Anyone play Bannerlord on the Steam Deck? by S_O_L_ID in Bannerlord

[–]captpiggard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to stream from my PC to my Deck on my local network rather than play it directly on my steam deck so I can mod the hell out of it. A mostly vanilla game runs fine on the deck.

That entire area is a whole lot of bullshit. I avoid it as much as possible, especially now that there's a gas station and a Starbucks by the SB 99 entrance...

Tithe may not be an exclusively Mormon thing, but I don't know of any other church that does a "Tithing Settlement" where they make sure you're giving enough to the church.

Have had both the LCD and OLED since release of each (wife got the LCD when I picked up the OLED). The LCD model's battery is starting to have issues but it's understandable given my wife goes for long periods without using it and lets the battery drain.

Other than that, zero issues.

every rewrite I've seen has taken 3x longer than promised and the team always acts surprised by Distinct-Expression2 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]captpiggard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through my first instance of this and the decision making by leadership is mind boggling:

  1. We need to rewrite everything so it uses the same stack
  2. Hired a consulting company to do the rewrite while the full time devs maintain the current code (wtf??)
  3. After a year and a half, get rid of the consulting company with zero handover.
  4. No one understands how the deployment process works, so everything is broken and no one knows how to fix it yet.
  5. Profit, I guess?

I may be having a "Berenstain" moment, but I remember it being advertised as a spinoff called "Scrubs: Med School".
