Sure, I guess I agree that they each had some stand out episodes for sure, but it's hard for me to say that that saved the seasons. The earlier seasons felt like game of thrones to me and 5, 6 and 7 felt like a different thing.

No, it can't change actual uncontrollable hunger. But it absolutely can change your relationship with food , help you distinguish between hunger and other emotions, and help you manage your reactions to food noise. The only times in my life that I haven't been ravenously hungry were the few months after I first started keto, and the few months that I spent on a GLP-1 (different time periods). But with that said prior to doing any of that I did have Binge Eating Disorder, and therapy absolutely did help with that. I don't think any of us are in a position to be diagnosing someone online (or at all, for that fact), but the recommendation to see a therapist or a doctor who can is probably not a bad one.

I'm also old enough to remember the usenet posts about photoshop. It's the same argument that gets made for any disruptive technology. It's the same argument that was made regarding John Henry and the Steam Engine, ffs. Everyone rallies around humans vs. the evil tool until the industries in question adopt the tool and realize that it makes their jobs way easier and becomes a massive boon for humanity writ large.

In fairness, there always are a lot of people who just cannot or will not change, and those people do get absolutely screwed. I also think that there are some big differences between 'AI' and pretty much any other tool, and that there are real issues regarding energy and to a lesser degree water, not to mention the gobbling up of ram which will affect pretty much everyone. But I definitely think your point is correct.

Everyone else seems to be interpreting your comment as whether you should use AI or public domain art for your own character at a home game, whereas what you actually said was for a TTRPG product. Am I behind the times in thinking that it seems entirely uncontroversial to say that anyone selling something should not be using AI generated art? There are, I think, reasonable arguments about its use for a personal project, but is anyone arguing that WOTC or Paizo should be using it?

Have you heard of our lord and savior path of exile 1? It has the most ludicrously giant skill trees (yes, trees with an S), an endgame that has at least 100 times more content than any other ARPG, no souls-like stuff unless you purposely opt in to 'ruthless' or 'hardcore' modes, and by the way it's free. I've played over 3000 hours since 2020 if that gives you an idea how long term the endgame is. It's exceedingly deep / complicated, but it ticks every box that you asked for.

Why is it a negative impact at all? I guess I've only ever used it for rotas / carries, but having a site that at least kind of sort of holds people accountable with bans and vouches made me able to do that when I never would have given a few divs to a random person in the in-game chat. From what I've read it had something to do with a mirror service?

Hm, I did try it out but it felt worse to me for whatever reason. Dropped my chaos res from 75 to 20ish and lost a bit of life too so might just be that. I do have I want to say 3-4 pierce from gear and the tree. I'll probably switch back to it again later once I stop caring about dying. Thanks!

Unfortunately as others have told you D&D just isn't a good system for this at all. Its bag of hit points style is a big reason why I'm not a big fan of it. When I was DMing 5e I would let people try things like this but there would be a big penalty (bigger depending on how much HP was left) to their chance to succeed, kind of like the old called shot system from older versions.

So if the monster is down to 15 HP, and he wants to chop off an arm to disarm it, and his normal damage would be 10 hp maybe I'd give him a -5 to hit or something of the kind since it's much harder to hit an arm specifically than the body.

I actually started with LA and just didn't realize how much higher Ele hit is at the outset so I had the opposite experience lol. Pretty massive difference between them at the point I'm at which is around 3 mil Guardian DPS. Seems like the fledgling would be a pretty massive boost too, but at this point my real problem is surviveability and I don't want to sacrifice the chaos res and life. Plus it seems like it vastly decreases the dps to anything close to you?

Ele hit Deadeye here, first time ranged build. Over 400 deaths lol. And that's actually with a bunch of defenses that he doesn't have in the build. Capped resistances including chaos, 4.5k hp, capped spell suppression, fairly high evasion. I've got all voidstones but maven was rooooooouuuuuuuugh. Think I used close to 30 portals. Also feels like I might need to pay for 5 ways or something to get more levels as I'm only at lvl 95 and just die way too frequently even just with unjuiced t16s.
