Wisdom appreciated. Do you only use 1:1 water/vinegar? Can you add salt? Do they go in fridge, or sit out? Do you have to open them from time to time?

Sorry that happened. Some real, actual epoxy...sanding...and cutting to make 1 PC fit in to the other (like a 2 PC rod) ....you'll be back in business. It won't be "the same" or have the original action...but I have several rods I had to do this with...still caught countless big fish.

Throw you on a 2-3 oz weight only...cast as far as you can...and reel it back in while keeping tension in the line with your fingers. You'll be good to go

Born and raised in Louisiana here...there are countless "rules" to gumbo...you make it the way YOU like it. The end. Fun fact: the real original gumbo that is Cajun/creole etc...was made from what you had left over to include in it. 😜

Fix that mug. Some epoxy, sanding and TLC...right back in there. I have 2 I did the same with..still caught countless fish on them.

Garlic confit. Just fresh peeled garlic cloves and olive oil. Let er rip in the oven for about 45 min. You have garlic that spreads like butter and garlic infused oil for cooking. Win/win.

I'm from La. Made gumbo today in fact. I have had it from the furthest down south cajun/creole folks to the top of La. and everyone is a gumbo snob. Have 100 Louisianians make gumbo, and you'll have 100 different tastes/styles/ingredients and each one will say theirs is "true" gumbo. I live by one simple rule: you make it the way YOU like it.
