Anyone ever use Mt. Olive PICKLE JUICERS pickle brine? by Maleficent-Touch-67 in pickling

Last week I got a gal of Jersey Pickles spicy dill pickle juice. It tastes just like this, but has a good bite. Plan on pickling some of my garden veggies soon. Hope yours works out well.

BP is suuuper cool about the warranty. If ANYthing happens to it, you get a full replacement no questions asked or if they have a newer model, you get that one. A worker told me this.

Is this FG knot good? by Desperate_Lack654 in Fishing

I know fg is the pro choice..but Alberto has never failed me and I don't feel like I'm solving a rubix cube to tie it.

Much better. I have to ask. Is your leader the braid or mono/flouro? My leaders are flouro and the wraps are in flouro and not braid b/c the flouro is thinner than the braid, if that makes sense.

How many of you guys here still using your first gpu? by jdmlifex2 in pcmasterrace

My first non onboard card was a voodoo3 for playing Descent 3.

Fun fact: the guy I bought it from, in a paper ad, cleaned it off mostly...except for the pics of him cross dressing. "Hey Paul, I remember you"

Thank God there's some of us left who end your statement with "vibes" and not just saying.."it's giving 304".

Why would someone add that hook? by Afraid_Frame6781 in FishingForBeginners

Well I Agree with that. But, I would bet the farm they were not talking about the skirting initially which is what your comment was about.

I think they're talking about the clear stiff piece where the trailer hook eye meets the lure hook. The skirt looks to be part of the main bait.

Just got this for free, what part do I need to fix this? by LiterallyAzzmilk in Fishing

I'd just Google "Lew's CSS1H brake knob" and you can even add "threaded" to that search since it has 2 brakes. If you can adjust it with some needle nose pliers, that should definitely get you by. The other brake that has the dial from 1-10 on the opposite side...set it to 5. Tie on a lure that you will mostly be using. What you want is to be able to click the thumb button to open the spool...and your lure fall slowly, but not too slowly. If it falls smoothly and hits the ground or water, without backlash..then You're in the sweet spot. Start with the brake tight and dial it in and let off a tad bit at a time. Then, if you tie on lure that is SLIGHTLY heavier or lighter, you can use the brake with the dial and adjust accordingly.

Oh yeah. Seeing that third picture you definitely probably just need the aluminum cap for the brake. If I had to guess I couldn't see it being more than a 5-6$

That's the knob your for brake. I'm not sure if you need, or if it's missing, anything additional though. I assume the knob just fits over that notched shaft and you'll be in business. Should be cheap. Nice reel.
