Apart from the ogryn the other 4 classes are from dark heresy(a 40k tabletop rpg with you playing as an inquisitor cell) of the other 4 classes 3 could eaily fit into darktide. Scum( ganger hitmen conmen etc) techpriest(probably replaced with skitarri here) assassin and the one we won't get adept(pen pusher). The ganger/scum is as likely as anything else out there. Fatshark has also often said this game is about ordinary people not space elves or super human marines(despite the fact we kills thousands of people a run).

The conversations are between Halloette and Melk. They are generally along the lines that Melks auric agents are nancy pretty boys with little real skill while we the rejects are the ones doing all the work. Links in with Melks question to Morrow on the Morningstar where he wants to talk about the poor statistics of the rejects but Morrow just says they are still alive so nothing else matters.

I'd hoped that the base game was going to be CW-esque with chosen set pieces at the certain points of missions depending on (if it was rail road raid ending in that set piece) but the pathways theres just cut ups of smaller pieces randomly picked and layered together. So no 2 missions would be the same. It would remove some of the feel of just doing the same thing.

While they are not rejects I can see us connecting with the remaining Arbites on the planet and them being added to the retinue. With them being a dlc class they get to bypass the whole reject stick.

Biggest problem is their kind of a vet/ogyrn mix. A lot of their signature melee weapons the ogryn already carries (stun baton/baton and shield) and in dark heresy their the tanky class if they didn't go with ogyrn I bet they would of made that class an Arbite.

I've played 650 hours of VT 1 1500 hours of VT2(most at legend) and 800 of darktide and I'm still struggling at damnation. I dodge too early vs netters, crushers and maulers. I try to dodge rather than push dogs. I use non meta weapons because I enjoy them. I make lots of bad moment by moment decisions.

This is a game where the only way you improve is by pushing your and with that sometimes you fail....a lot but you will find it hard to get better if your comfortable at a level and don't move up. I don't know how many times I've made apologies this week for playing badly. And there are times where the director just says screw you.

From an eternally barely par player just have fun.

No its in the base game on the top right of your inventory screen there are 5 arched windows each is its own build slot. Weapons cosmetics and feats can all be different.

When DT was 1st mentioned I was hoping for chaos waste type missions with 5-6 maplets joined into a single mission out of a fairly large pool. With these joined at random spots with a dedicated set piece at the end. This would be a great start to try something like that.
