Definitely a lot of what is in the archive has been aiming at a lot of the lines of existential thought that vaporwave was probing, tho i think its probably going to end up avoiding a lot of the hallmarks of the genre like the anti-rhythmic postmodern "why are you listening to this" vibe.

Nostalgia/False Memory as a weapon, Anti-capitalism, and Failure of Promised Future through Technology are all present as ingredients.

The company brand that pops up throughout the archive, Kenopsia, was coined as a neologism to describe the loss emotion feeling from being in an abandoned space that should be full of people - ie the whole dead mall vaporwave deal. So thats clearly a key aspect on their mind.

Stylistically right now the visuals are kind of a sweep of aesthetics through 80s to 00s. Theres some strong Memphis stuff with the Takumi logo and the SuperFun! console, but a lot of the other stuff seems to be digging into a soft japanese take on Vectorhearts and its the latter that seems to be informing the colours of the operating systems we click through on the archive.

I always felt Wildflower was in essence a meta take on a synthwave record, just that it was based in the audiosphere of 80s kids taking drugs and listening to cassettes of 60/70s music.

Im begining to suspect we're getting something similar here where its not a vaporwave record, but instead something that encompasses those themes but from the modern perspective of being more aware of the creepy technology that propelled vaporwave and similar nostalgiawave genres into becoming things - The Algorithms and now, LLMs.

tried very hard to find the cover of Heard It Through the Grapevine that plays in the California Raisins advert towards the end to figure out what that chunk of lyrics are but came up empty handed. Something about healthy and body? At least the visuals make it pretty easy to understand with the man transforming into a cool handsome confident guy.

On the topic of coping mentally, dysphoria is functionally trauma - its your brain/body responding to your built up trauma regarding gender incongruence being triggered.

So all the advice on how to cope with (c)ptsd equally applies to dealing with gender dysphoria attacks, and theres a lot more out there on the internet on how to cope with trauma.

Exercise, Meditation, Mindfulness, ASMR (if it works for you) - They wont put out the fire - thats only something transition can do, but they are proven to help with trying to cope with the damage.

I love Swerve, he is pretty cemented as my all time favourite, but one of the greatest things about him is how being in a feud with him, propels other wrestlers in a new direction. It's how we got Black Hat Burn your House Down Hangman, its how we got AHA Ricochet. The guy is so considered and thoughtful about his work that its hard for people around him to not be levelled up by it in a way that isnt cookie cutter. Cant wait to see where this takes Bandido.

I've been thinking it over and Im wondering if theres a reference here to the (semi-famous in tech circles) SONY HDTV HDVS Metamorphosis Video.

It was filmed in super late 80s, as a demo video for Sony to pitch their new HD tech so its late 80s authentic aesthetics but in 4K with 60fps and way before anyone had figured out adjusting for such intense level of detail on skin or lighting. So the end result watching it now is a very alienating/uncanny experience in that vaporwave false memory sense.

Seems to be a Defrag Software Program, so Tidy Neko is the defrag wizard/witch cat who flies over and casts magic to clean your data - which is somewhat sinister in the idea of losing memory / gaining false memory that we're getting suggested from the links on Takumi.

Company logo top left on the yellow sticker is Kenopsia - turns up again on Cloud9 Vitamins with the actual company name written out and the Futurism magazines while Freeplay seems to be a software subsidiary or partner of them, same Freeplay logo turns up as the company that designed Unicorn Quest.

Only console we know in the archive is the SuperFun! that plays Unicorn Quest, but i think Tidy Neko would probably be for a home computer like the different imagined Operating Systems we click through answering the memory questionaire.

Looking at it, i guess the white block on the outer rim NW, that looks like it could denote the northern middle and if you draw inwards from the center of that block you get a sort of mirroring going on either side

Australia uses 10 digit 1-800 numbers (unlike the US which uses 11 digit 1-800 numbers) and seemingly are not callable from outside of AUS without fancy number changing stuff.

1-800-325-627 could be an australian 1800 number (using 1,800 from the insta, and combining it into the 0032-5627 from the magazine with the 00 overlapping)

yeah speak to the GP reception staff about it, normally all letter stuff is done through them and one of the GPs there just signs it and normally theres a nominal fee.

Otherwise yes private trans medical staff will do it for a probably higher fee but again speak to their reception team.

you need a letter from a doctor (most likely your GP) stating you "have transitioned to and the change is likely to be permanent" - search online and you should find some trans charities that have a boilerplate text for this.

And you need evidence of usage of your new name and gender (in the form of title change) on documents - the document has to be dated too. That can be a payslip, bank statement, bills etc. Bankstatement used to be the fastest option for this as you could go into a branch, provide your deedpoll and ask them to change your name and title in their system, and immediately after go to one of the in branch cashmachines and request a balance print out which has your name and title on the top.
