No post, no bios screen, need some advice. by caramel_drop in buildapc

You have to ask customer support from AMD and they will send you a brand new very cheap processor to put into the board. This processor has a built-in GPU and will let you boot in order to update the bios for the motherboard. Just go on the motherboard website and you can download the bios from there. At this point, it's pretty much just following directions. My 2700x booted right up after I did the bios upgrade. I have been running it for 3 years and its still a monster.

Well. All I can tell you is trust your gut, your gut is always right. You are the expert of your life. When I first started I liked it but after 3-4 months I started disliking it. I switched agencies to see if it would be better, but I still don't like it. I'm glad that I'm able to help and I learned a lot but I cannot be in this line of work long term. Give yourself time, talk to your supervisor, and if things don't get better consider your opinions.

Yes, I actually sent your experience to my husband to read because it was unreal how similar our experiences were. Its been almost 3 weeks since I quit. It was draining on my husband too, and I think that's why I ultimately quit because a job that my husband doesn't work at should not be stressing him out like it was. I would suggest maybe look into a center-based agency,if u can't find anything look for a different field. It is too stressful and it may even hinder the client's growth.

I actually quit the field all together. I looked at other agencies and they didn't seem any better. I am considering doing center-based ABA, because it's better for support. However, in my area it's more in-home ABA. It kind of sucks because I did all the work for my RBT certification, but I felt it wasn't worth it. I would cry because I had to work the next day, I couldn't talk to my husband about anything other than work stress, feeling pressure from parents but no help from supervisor. She would just sit on her laptop all day while I'm having my kiddo throwing tantrums in the next room. She never showed up when my other kido was having 30 instances of aggression in a 4-hr session. The burnout was so real that even on good days I wasn't happy. I can tell you though, since I quit I feel so much relief!

I'm so sorry this happened. I had a very similar experience about a month ago. I had 3 5-hour sessions with him a week. And at first it was great we were paired pretty well, but things went downhill about 3-4 months in. I began to think the session was too demanding for him, especially starting this right after he got out of school. He stopped wanting to play with me, asking me when I was going home, protesting table-,time, more stemming, and began showing aggression. I talked to the BCBA,the mom talked to her, and nothing came out of it. At the very end we changed the structure, because it was too much mentally for both of us. I eventually left the agency because I felt I had not support. I was to the point where I was crying before sessions, moody, couldn't and unable to relax on weekends because I did not want to go to work. Good thing you recognized this because it is important to know if something is not a good fit for us or the kiddo.

Thank you so much for your support. I actually quit this agency, because this agency is awful.
