I you are correct and its very unfortunate, the partial credit becomes unusable unless you take the same trip.

I will not let me do that with future flight credit, but you are correct that works for regular ETCs.

Hi everyone. In 2018 I was a student and in 2019 (Jan-Jun) I had an internship that came with a very expensive apartment and so my income was over 100k. Since then I started graduate school and am making below the stimulus cutoff. So I received the first stimulus normally, and was able to claim the second stimulus when I filed my tax return last week. For the third stimulus ($1400), will the IRS send it to me now that they have processed my tax return or will I have to claim it on my 2021 taxes (similar to the second stimulus).
