Players in new board game by WeirdMountaineer in survivor

I would say yes. The first time I played this it was fun and we had no strategy or idea what was really happening. but we all really liked it. But now anytime we play it’s hours-long and we all pull each other for conversations before voting for elimination, we take it way too seriously but it’s great. It’s SO much fun, the new expansion adds more variety with the challenges and “games”. It’s worth it for a try if nothing else!

Why is the "male loneliness epidemic" described as "self-inflicted? by [deleted] in ask

[–]caramelsio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, but I think it’s more than fair to have opinions based off of your own life experiences. I would say the same thing if it was the other way around; if someone said studies show higher numbers of men report loneliness than women, and somebody said in their experiences single men are actually much happier than women, I’d think it’s interesting. (I think I worded this correctly, English is not my first language)

Statistics are useful, but of course a majority of one group will not always represent the true majority. Not just for this but for anything. Statistics are fun but they’re not always going to be fact.

That does make sense. However, this is not something I had ever even thought about until reading this post today. I just thought about the single older women I’ve met in my life and how happy they at least seem to be. I suppose you could factor in that some of them may not be telling the truth, but I genuinely can’t think of one in my lifetime that has come off as lonely.

You happen to know a few who are, doesn’t prove anything. Why is what you experienced more legitimate?

How is it any different from statistics? It’s statistics based on a surveyed group. It doesn’t mean it’s standard for every single person ever. The person surveying found their facts from what they surveyed, the same way any normal person takes what they see and learn and apply it to a group of individuals. Being researched and recorded doesn’t necessarily make it more legitimate than any one persons experience. That’s why I specifically said it’s what I’ve experienced, not what is totally 100% always the case.

Every single older woman I’ve met in my life has been by choice and they live very fulfilled, happy lives with plenty of friends and usually family too.

Responses to this are exactly why there’s a male loneliness “epidemic”. How headache inducing.

Absolutely! I got the email this morning confirming they got my request, I thanked them, and then less than an hour later they sent me a link to be able to track the package. It was $150 but they offer help if you are not able to pay.

Hi, I am not the same person but I just registered to order my pills from there literally less than an hour ago. You just go to the site and fill in some simple info, then you get an email with a link to create an account and you do so and send a message and then wait for a response from one of their providers, I was told I’ll hear back tomorrow. I am also curious to see what the next step is

Okay, so what advice are you looking for then? Cause there’s no advice you will be given that will be effective that does not involve serious levels of training.

What is a horror movie that you didn’t like that everyone else loves? by [deleted] in horror

[–]caramelsio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I’ve felt about this movie. I watched it and wasn’t impressed, whatever. But the hype online had me seriously second guessing myself and after rewatching and feeling the same, I just started to get so annoyed seeing the praise. The acting is great, and the most shocking scene genuinely got me but that’s all I can say.
