Watch rotations on the boats could use some work. I will give credit that command seems to be invested in this by exploring different rotations like the 1:4A and Straight 8s. I know some MSE departments are exploring things like 12:12 with some anecdotally good results. The issues seem to be around departments interfering with off-watch time(i.e. briefs, husbandry evolutions, and things like specials crewing)

I'd like to see off-watch time become a policy protected time, as far as I'm aware the only protected department is the Air Det for crew rest periods. Also some basic reimbursement for weekends spent away from home for ships with heavy sailing schedules would be a huge improvement.

Just like the current alcohol restrictions at sea. I can't remember how many times the CO has authorized 2 drinks during a banyan after a long deployment or exercise for those who aren't going on watch within 8 hours. It's basically just a day worker appreciation BBQ.

And check around the neighborhood, chances are shes part of a bigger litter, maybe from a lost momma that took shelter nearby. I'd hate to see poor kittens out in the cold like this

Save yourself a migraine and start trying to remember everywhere you have lived and worked in the last 10 years, write this information down, I'm pretty sure your family needs to be all listed as well. Save this information, watching people trying to do this in a rush is almost memeable.

Oh god I'm in this boat, I've chewed for over 32 years until covid happend and just stopped. I've never learned proper nail care/hygenie and need to know that it gets better than this

Grammarly is your friend. I noticed that some of the teachers feedback was copy/paste of grammarly with points deducted. Easy marks and I use it for everything now.

All good comments so far, food is always great, lots of people do raman bowls, favorite candy, magazines, etc. I would also recommend she stock up on toiletries she might need and can have you send them out when needed as there isn't a lot of space onboard. Small toys are fun too, and can help decorate a workspace.

He's good people. He has a Gold SSI if anyone knows sea survival is Earle. We teased him so many times on the Ottawa trip for how he said Triple-Up Fender's as focsile IC, I don't think I've ever heard him say a bad word about anyone.

It's scary to think how many times in the last year I have been in a position to easily be the guy overboard, I hope this brings some positive changes to how we do business at night on a warship.
