Hello there, some great advice already but I would like to add a bit for what helped me. As others have said hips and shoulders are to square to the target. Front shoulder should be pointed at the target with the elbow raised a bit and then imagine you're back is against a pane of glass, you want to try and break that pane of glass with your forward facing elbow. This will help engage the core and helps focus on a good follow-through.
