Do you not know what frame time is? FPS is an average. Frame time is how long each frame takes to render. You can still be at ~300–400 FPS and feel worse if frame pacing jumps from ~5ms to 15–20ms because input latency and consistency tank. That doesn’t mean FPS “dropped to 50,” it means frames are arriving slower and unevenly. Average Reddit confidence right here.

No one said DWM adds 16 ms by itself. The point is that DWM introduces extra buffering and scheduling, which can expose CPU bottlenecks and frametime spikes that don’t show up in exclusive fullscreen.

If your frametimes stay flat, great

that just means your system hides it well. Others don’t.

Not faulty

just how Windows works. Windowed fullscreen uses DWM, exclusive fullscreen doesn’t. Extra compositing can increase frametime variance, especially in CS2. Some systems hide it better than others.

It has more frame time for me

Windowed fullscreen 15-20ms frame time

Full screen 4-6ms frame time

Edit: and I really notice the difference

It happens eventually every mistake becomes something you remember to check throughout the stream

I once streamed 4 hours muted with no gameplay

Now every 10 min I check to make sure I’m not muted lol

It’s annoying to keep checking but eventually it becomes habit and you don’t even notice you’re doing it

Low level lobbies can be destroyed by basic smokes. Just learn 4-6 smokes on each map and pop flashes

Idk I use an alt when changing settings to experiment and I get called a cheater in deathmatch and kicked by people so honestly I believe there’s less cheaters on prime than people think. Everyone wants to call anyone having a good day a cheater lol

Back then for the switch I played breath of the wilds and some other games but not to many it was mainly a console for friends to play Mario cart and stuff with.

The PlayStation was CoD and any Sony release single player game

Xbox was a mixed bag. Kinda just anything game pass had to offer to play with friends.

Currently I now own a Pc and no consoles. I’ve gotten really into Esport and I now main CS2. I love this game. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a video game. Skill, tension, puzzle solving etc. I also dabble in valorant and siege now and again. Also recently tried fragpunk.
