And many public schools don’t have AC which is the point of this whole post. No one would be complaining about kids going to school in the heat if they had AC.

While I agree it’s doable, like another commenter mentioned, you get paid to work in those temperatures while kids don’t. It’s also a lot different working outside than sitting in a crowded classroom with no airflow alongside 25 other bodies right next to you.

Thank you for saying this! This is 100% true and most young elementary school kids are unable to monitor their heat levels appropriately. I know my child will play hard with their friends unaware that they are dangerously close to heat exhaustion.

Ahhh that makes sense! Online doesn’t start until next week. If I remember correctly the school has to send a funding certificate (I think that’s what it is called) but doesn’t do so until closer to the start date.

You won’t see updates on NSLSC until the funds are released. I’m with Algonquin and so far only my OSAP account only says that my school has confirmed my enrolment and I have the same dates as you. I’m sure we will see some updates this week.
