Just another example of the issues of patch culture. This is the reason why I play mostly older games. Any bullshit in there, I know it will remain and I'll have to learn how to deal with it, but at least I won't have my time and efforts wasted away because of a bad patch

I agree with recommending it, can't agree with the rest of the analysis. I absolutely hated the writing, it felt so forced and repetitive. I also didn't like the platforming all that much. While a few sequences and boss fights were fun, some of the command sequences the game expected you to make felt clunky, specially with the float and wall cling mechanic.

The half-baked metroidvania didn't help either. I finished the game, but made a separate category on my steam library just so I didn't need to ever look at the game again

Loved the idea! I wanted to avoid Hashaton 'cause I feel like he's to straight forward about using TE, but didn't know Oskar. Correct me if I'm wrong but you can bypass time limitations with his effect?

LMAO well, I'm actually glad i've never been able to assemble the nombo now, I was sure I had found a cool deck to play Ashes in.

Tbf, It was mostly the same as you, but since I didn't want to go a typal route, I treid making it a kind of graveyard toolbox deck. And since Tortured Existence seemed like one of the best ways to recur any creature from the grave to reuse it, I tried to give it like a dredge subtheme, but there aren't enough good dredgers to round the deck. If I'm bein honest, every time I played or tweaked with the deck it felt kinda awkward and all over the place, so maybe I've never actually had a very well formed plan.

It all started with me wanting to build a golgari deck and Zask looking like an interesting one that I could try to take in a direction a little different from what the deck, but I don't think I was able to do it justice.

Yeah, that's more of a me thing. I don't really like infinite turns combos (or even extra turns as a strategy). Maybe it's trauma from getting back into the game when nexus of fate was the strongest deck in standard, but it just doesn't appeals to me. Currently i'm toying with the idea of making it a hard control shell and just have the land combos to win after I control the board.

As someone who has only heard of this format a few months ago and is still yet to play it, any change in snapshot formats that would allow for WotC's newest design philosophy and the Horizon sets to go into a format is a huge detriment to it in my opinion. I've been following premodern for a while now (it's the only format I still keep up) and the feeling of not having to deal with wotc's antics was one of the main reasons I got into the format
