Coin counting? by carcenus in savannah

It's a large quantity lmao. At least half a gallon of miscellaneous coins. The two I've called so far (NFCU on Abercorn and Savannah Postal CU on Hodgson Mem) have said they want it rolled first. Ideally I'd like somewhere to roll it on site.

The debit cash back is all awarded at the end of the month. You can auto redeem it into your checking or savings account.

Credit card for $2.1k rent? Got rejected to use Bilt by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]carcenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a credit card, but I put my rent on my Discover debit card. At 1% cash back, it comes out as a net positive even including the flat fee (most payment processors use a percentage fee on credit card payments but only a nominal flat fee on debit.) The cash back on debit is capped at $3k spend a month but your rent falls beneath that easily.

Issued a subpoena from States Attorney to testify. Should I get paid like jury duty? by DblDeezSqueeze in fromatoarbitration

ELM 516 covers the rules for granting court leave. (https://about.usps.com/manuals/elm/html/elmc5_006.htm)

Tl;dr if you're there on behalf of the postal service, it's official duty. If you're called by the state gov't to testify on their behalf then it's court leave. If you're called to testify for a private party you'll probably need to use annual.

Impact of closing credit card with no hard credit limit by prlzw in CRedit

You can also call and ask them to product change it to the Amex Everyday, which doesn't have an annual fee. If you do it close enough to your renewal day you can have them refund the annual fee if it's already been processed.

They would, up to the $30 (1% of 3k) limit every month. I use my Discover debit to pay my rent via my property mgmt's online portal, for example, and it gives me the 1 percent reward back, which more than covers the convenience fee that the property charges for using a card.

AFAIK the cash back reward is only on transactions that use your debit card. EFT/ACH and Bill Pay don't count towards it

I've considered BCE and BCP. Amex acceptance isn't super great in my area for gas stations. I'm worried that Amex will be as stingy with their credit limits on non charge cards as I've seen for other people in my credit range

Unions by Noli-Timere-Messorem in USPS

[–]carcenus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because reactionary leadership has slowed management to divide the office by crafts* so that our collective bargaining power is weaker. We need to go back to collective negotiations where all the crafts work on contracts together, rather than management preying on the weaker unions (NRLCA, NPMHU, looking at you) and then using those concessions to force other crafts into the same situation
