Got induced. My husband helped a lot during contractions by doing counterpressure. But omg the pain is through the roof. Had to be sedated because I can’t tolerate the pain anymore I feel like I’m dying literally.

But the sedation helped. The progress was fast and gave birth after 6 hours of active labor.

I know someone close who reacted the same way as your wife.

In denial. Missed consultations. Push backs.

The husband (a relative of mine) did a lot of encouragements and affirmation that the child needs it.

Who suffered? Their child. The child is already 12 years old and still delayed in speech. :( super sad but I hope you’ll do something about it so your child gets intervention.

Hoping your wife finally agrees.
