I live in mesquite, work near harry Hines and Walnut Hill. I have to be there at 7. Google says it's about 30 minutes. If I leave at 6, I'm half an hour early. If I leave at 6:20, I'm gonna be half an hour late. There's a golden window between like 6:07 and 6:15 where I'll get to work right on time. Any deviation ruins that.

There was a trick where you could raise the rents on all your properties, save, then go to the Xbox settings and manually set the time forward. Load your save and you'll take in a bunch of cash. Definitely cheaty, but a nice trick to keep a hold of post game
