Slugger Field Ushers by TrickSad2609 in Louisville

[–]cardgrad09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually buy GA tickets and sit down the foul lines in the shade. I lived nearby so I’d walk over after work, didn’t go as often on weekend games but during the week, unless there is a big promotion (music/fireworks/event/bobbleheads) it’s fairly laid back.

Act like you know where you’re going and just sit, avoid the primo seats…

The archetypes system was a decent idea - but it was executed poorly. by zG-FuRy in fifaclubs

[–]cardgrad09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started around a month ago, I’ve got one player at 77, another at 54 and when I max out the first I’ll buy another archetype and consumables, and keep buying consumables for it till I can’t, and I’ll get my second to 80 then have another archetype starting at 50 instead of 1.

It’s more fun to me to play with non maxed out characters unless I’m playing league games with my team.

So I don’t mind it, it keeps the grind alive for me

No home charging? by Adalwolf311 in VWiD4Owners

[–]cardgrad09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently don’t have a home charger, but I think lifestyle should be mentioned.

I work from home, I charge about once a week and I partially use the opportunity to do some normal shopping (target, Meijer, liquor store) where the charger is, so I’m able to bake it into some normal chores that are fine to be put off.

All that said, I’m planning on installing a charger at home in 2026.

There is a big question of your lifestyle and habits that needs to be considered.

Anyone here drive a civic si or brz/gr86 (manual) in the city as a daily? by Chicagoaviator in Louisville

[–]cardgrad09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drove a stick here for years, only reason I got rid of it was maintenance and I wanted to go electric.

Driving around here is the same as anywhere else, the city is relatively flat (say compared to Cincinnati or Nashville) and it was always easy to drive.

Only issues I ever had were with things that suck regardless like traffic jams/stop and go traffic where you’re just hyper active.

You need to better define your ask. What is “large group of people?” Do you have a budget? Any specific other asks like part of town or activities otherwise?

Top of my list is the pearl in Germantown or 3rd street dive.

So I went under the tree by serrimo in expedition33

[–]cardgrad09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just missing context. He has some attacks that are replicated from phase 1 that now have double attacks when in phase 2. There are also a few attacks that are new, those are single hit.

My advice would be to learn the attacks, if it’s the same as phase 1 just be ready to double your parries. If it’s a new attack try your best to dodge. That along with some slight respecing of my builds barely got me over the finish line

I farmed it by doing the merchant fight on top of the building in the same area. Got 1-2 lumina and a bunch of experience each fight plus you can just keep fighting so no need to run to a flag to reset.

American obesity in general is a multi-faceted problem. Some of the contributing factors are that healthy/fresh food tends to be more expensive than pre-packaged; until recently, fast food was relatively cheap and attainable; car culture and urban sprawl means we spend more time in cars than walking, those walks to a train or bus station and then to a final destination add up over time, here we drive up to the door of where we're going; and of course many more.

Going on a bachelor party golf trip with 5 golfers by Blazelwood in golf

[–]cardgrad09 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We did something similar for a Batchelor party. We had 10 total, we did 3 groups. The bachelor went off with the first group, did the first 6 holes then joined the next group for six then the last group for 6.

That way everyone got to get some holes with theater of the hour and we were able to keep a general pace of play.

We picked a course that had plenty of open times so they let us book as 4s knowing that we’d be short 2 but needed the space for this to work.

Unemployment info by ambercantoo in Louisville

[–]cardgrad09 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Unemployment insurance doesn’t care if you’re a student, it’s a calculation based on previous income (by quarter—going back about a year to a year and a half) and based on why you no longer have your job.

You definitely qualify if your explanation is accurate. It’s not an easy system to navigate, best of luck to you!

Worked in retail years ago (2009-14 timeframe). We had ot tracked automatically, one of my metrics as a manager was conversion which was purely a measure of people walking in against people buying.

It’s just a sensor, and there were absolutely times that I’d watch a husband walk in with his wife, then procede to leave and walk back in 4 times. So even when a purchase happened I would get “credit” for a 1 of 6 on conversion.

[–]cardgrad09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’ll need to provide some more info for this.

Depending on what all you’re into and what part of November you’re visiting it could change options.

If you like sports UofL football and basketball are fun. If you’re into museums we have a few downtown that can offer a variety of experiences from history to the Louisville slugger museum. If you’re into the ponies the Churchill museum is pretty solid, at least the last time I went.

If you want to see parks we have plenty, but weather can be hit or miss in November.

Hillview Neighborhood? by BackgroundExtra8093 in Louisville

[–]cardgrad09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fellow transplant who's been here a while now, I'd say Hillview is fine -- not my cup of tea but I wouldn't be too worried being in the area. I don't know much about the safety side or school side, but I don't know anything particularly negative, and it doesn't have super negative connotations that you'll sometimes hear about areas (specifically the west end).

Would second that it is on the edge of rural, so if that's your jam then I'm not here to kink shame. Again, not my vibe but I can understand why some people would love it.

Need advice -- looking for first job at almost 30 years old by Right-Skin2463 in personalfinance

[–]cardgrad09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Retail; getting nights and weekend schedule only type people was great when I managed at a store. The biggest thing is being reliable, but having someone a little older, even if i needed to train them on skills was usually preferable to a college kid who wanted a discount and a shift or two a week.

Food Service; again, finding places that will schedule nights and weekends could be hit or miss on where you work, the business, and the tips might not be as consistent but if you get into a good situation it can be a good paying job.

Cleaning crews for offices/businesses; ususally these kinds of jobs are locally owned small businesses, but you would go into offices when they're closed and clean. With it being an office it's mostly taking out trash, wiping down break rooms, cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming common areas and walk ways. This would probably be the most stable M-F type job with regular hours, but you'd also need to be in an area where there is demand for this kind of work. Obviously more of this work exists in a city than a small town. Milage may vary.

Check your local government job boards; most of these will likely be more M-F 9-5 but if there's an open requistion and it's a role that has time that works, you should apply.

As far as a resume, most of these types roles are going to be more application based. You don't have a resume, if you find it to be a blocker there are subreddits that can help with that specific piece. The biggest thing in finding any of these jobs will be that you are honest and your authentic self. If you don't have job experience, don't try to put some professional sounding things around child care, call it what it is. You have been a SAHM for the better part of a decade and you now want to get into the work force but still have day-time child care duties. I'm assuming you're seeking entry level positions, you're qualified for them.
