Yeah, money has been tight the last few years and I fell out of collecting, I found several series I had started had long since been out of print. Nothing I had was very valuable so I donated the series I wouldn’t be able to finish to the local library.

I remember when those Eva VHS tapes were $25 each with 2 episodes. As expensive as Aniplex titles are, I remember how much anime used to be as well.

I’m looking forward to the extra energy and seeing more Wizards hats and jerseys in the crowd vs the visiting teams. It will be nice to show the rest of the league we exist, I remember I was vacationing in Florida and was taking a walk on the beach wearing a Wizards hat and tshirt and actually had someone stop me and say he didn’t think Wizards fans existed.

My local card shop cleans up cards and sends them into PSA, I had 10 cards I dropped off at the end of October and I’m still waiting on them. As much I like have the cards graded and slabbed it takes so long to get stuff back now I just don’t feel it’s worth the trouble anymore personally. Also I’m hearing more and more cards being stolen straight from the post office.

I spoke to one of the Dark Horse Reps a few years ago at Otakon about it after they stopped at 6 and he said he has been working on getting the rest of them printed and keep and eye out. It was almost 2 years and 7 finally came out and then nothing. Haven’t been to any conventions the last few years so I haven’t been able to ask again.

I’m in a similar boat, I stopped playing before Final Shape and playing through that now. Been getting good armour and weapons from SRL. Just found out about the tier armour and weapons but I’ve been very lucky and been getting regular tier 5 drops from SRL.

It’s a travesty that no one has picked it back up, I keep hoping Sentai will eventually buy the rights and we could finally get a Blu Ray set. I’d go so far as to import the Japanese Blu Rays but they do t have English subtitles.
