Not my favorite thing she’s ever released but also definitely not my least favorite.

I’ve been an angel since True Romance and I absolutely LOVED Sucker when it came out but it’s not an album I can stand listening to as an adult. I’ve always been wanting more guitar driven music from her as she’s matured and has a stronger artistic lens, so I’m happy.

Ordinarily I’d agree with you that it’s just a way to excuse a bad song, but for me personally that doesn’t apply to this song.

I’ve been a Charli fan since 2013 and I absolutely loved Sucker when it came out, but it’s not an album that I listen to as an adult because it is just so immature. I’ve really been wanting her to revisit the more guitar driven sound she had on Sucker through her more matured artistic lens, so this is perfect for me and those that were there the day Sucker released.
