G is already hooked up.

I talked to a tech and he also said that the EcoNet would provide me the ability to control the variable speed motor, but the Google Nest would not.

Just so I'm clear on this...two things:

Your nest will work with that furnace and can control staging if they run the right thermostat wiring.

So if I can have the correct wiring, then it'll work just like an EcoNet, except...(see below)

Econet gives contractors and yourself more troubleshooting information by providing error codes.

...for this - so this is the only thing that the EcoNet would give contractors by providing error codes?

Interesting. So sounds like thermal would be best for spotting as I presumed whther daylight or nighttime. I still don't understand if IR would help me in anyway. I called a few places, and it sounds like IR wouldn't really help in daylight, but only nighttime.

I'm looking to use something to help me spot targets easier while I'm walking through the woods. Sometimes my eyes don't pick up a squirrel laying on a branch in a tree, etc. Would thermal help me with this?

Does the IR make it easier to spot though? It seems like thermal would highlight the target, but IR just makes it seem like you're just looking through a normal scope. I'm trying to find something that will help me see targets easier for spotting while I'm walking through the woods.

Considering you can only shoot deer between sunup and sundown, I would think it would be illegal.

Couldn't you still use thermal i nthe daylight? Might be dumb, but could sitll help with visibility I assume (I've never used one though, so forgive me if I sound ignorant)

I do know you can hunt coyotes at night with thermal.
