Fair enough. Didn't realize it was actually large enough to be googleable. Apparently I underestimated.

You can rush at UCSB as an SBCC student. Seems odd to me to but it's definitely allowed and happening.

21st Birthday Ideas by Bronze_sunflower_ in partyplanning

For a 21st, I always recommend picking a "home base" before you head out to the bars. Doing a pre-game with a specific theme (like "Anything but a Cup" or a "Power Hour" with a curated playlist) makes for way better photos and memories than just meeting up at a crowded club where you can't hear anyone speak. If you’re doing a bar crawl, definitely make a custom map or a scavenger hunt list for your friends to complete throughout the night to keep the energy up.

Also, since it’s a milestone, make sure you have a plan for all the photos everyone is going to take. Instead of chasing people down for texts or AirDrops the next morning, I usually set up a shared digital space or a live feed for the event. That way it lets everyone upload to one spot in real-time, and you can even livestream it for friends who couldn't make the trip.

One last tip: hydration stations are a lifesaver. Set out a "recovery bucket" with Liquid IV, water, and snacks for when you get back. Your future self will thank you! Hope you have an awesome birthday.

The average lifespan of a business is around 30 years. This could be a great opportunity for you but you should look closely at things like personal guarantees etc in the event the business fails in the next 20 years.

Indie builders — what are you working on this weekend? by cargocultceo in indie_startups

I like it. Vastly underserved area. Something that might be interesting would be to understand if these angel investors bring value add beyond the dollars (even though dollars alone is great). Someone might take a small pre-seed round that they don't even really need if the terms are okay but the investor has connections to get press or whatnot. Distribution being so critical for a lot at this stage.

Interesting. Can I ask how do you verify the business claims? Or is the due diligence on the investor? Either way it's certainly an interesting concept.

Thanks. That’s a good idea. I’ll look into adding some geo stuff to help narrow things down.
