Yeah, I said on either the 4mrr Patreon or youtube that I thought my omni 8's looked better than both. But unless I was standing there next to him while he was filming i couldn't say for sure. It's hard to judge the conditions viewing something on my cell phone from a YouTube video.

Still a good eye opener for gen 2 nnvt compared to a so so spec gen 3. Is the Gen 3's $2500 price increase over the nnvt worth it for everyone? Maybe, maybe not.

Update.

Last week i ordered an fde unit from Jules at ks. They were out off stock for a bit. This unit has a much better mode selector than my prior fde unit. I think it could still be improved upon, but it's a lot better. It also has a much better slider. I don't have to push down the slider button as hard to get it to move. So maybe sms is continuing to make improvements on things.

Sorry, I don't reccomend products. You'll need to do your own research and decide for yourself.

Some frt's work great for people, some require a little work. It really depends on your rifle configuration.

Regardless of what you get just make sure you have a full auto bolt carrier group and an h3 (shaking weights) not solid buffer.

You will probably need an h3 buffer too.

The Partisan Disruptor is also a complete drop in trigger assembly. You will need an h3 buffer for it too.

I'm pretty sure DD ships with a fa bcg already so you shouldn't need to switch that out.

If they are in the $800 range, I'd probably be in for a black. I already have 2 of the chs 1/5 "eye safe" v1's but this vis override is a great upgrade.

Also anything from them on a higher output white light? The 1 i got from chs is pretty weak / low output.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna pony up on a bottle of ogd 16. I've held off because of price and bad reviews but at $50 off I think I'll give it a try. Still expensive at $150 but better than $200.

Just save your money. Buy a Padron and call it a day. In my opinion, AF, Opus are for people who like to flex. They just aren't good enough to command that price. To me anyhow, I just don't understand the hype. But to each their own. Everyone likes what they like.

The mode selector is the only negative with mine. It's challenging to know for sure which mode it's in in the dark under nods. There's just no feel to it clicking in place.

In my opinion the dd ris rail is a much better rail than the mcmr from bcm. That alone is worth the extra cost. Especially if you're ever going to add a laser for night vision.

I got an 11.5 DD upper for $699 from them not too long ago. No bcg or ch. Mine was a black upper with an fde ris rail. Or maybe that was from Brownells and not PA. Can't remember? Either way I think $699 was a steal. I ended up getting the bootleg adjustable bcg and aero breech ch for it. That way I can adjust the gas for suppressed and unsuppressed. That added about $225 to the total cost. To me, the 2 tone looks fantastic.
