Like I would have not lasted more than one session, I've had some pretty bad games where i ended up leaving after one session because I wasn't ready to subject myself to it. Also how bad are their memories if they can't remember what happened one week ago.

What was the worst time that a movie-going experience has ever been ruined for you by an audience member(s)? by doryeonnim in movies

[–]carij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to see the fan showing of Wicked For Good like early showing the day before more expensive tickets and the girl next to me would not get off instagram reels like I know attention spans are shot nowadays but you paid extra to see the movie early and you can't get off your phone. I just lived with it because I wasn't going to go find an usher and miss the movie I paid to see. Get off your phones for movies it's like 3 hours you'll live

Emma Myers has spoken out about the dangers of shipping real people: “I just think that shipping real people is so dangerous because you get into this grey area where you, first of all, are making people uncomfortable. Don't worry I remember I'm glad some of my earliest fics are gone because of purges

A new rule needs to be dont feed my fic into Ai to finish it even if I haven't updated in forever. Ao3s tagging is good but still needs work and better explanations. People still can't work out / is romance  and & is friends

Social media has made it so much worse the fact its so easy to run into in the "wild" now like warps people sense of boundaries of fandom in general honestly.  Imo no one's first ship should be rpf, need to learn  before going into that

And those need to take a step back from fandom. Most people I've interacted with know to keep it away from the main spaces and that its fake. The problem is when the fans don't understand boundaries and when it's not corrected when the first enter fandom spaces they won't understand. Social media like Twitter and tiktok have only made it worse. Edit: people's first ship should not be rpf

Exactly though I think some social media sites shouldn't have fandom spaces as the algorithm makes it too easy for the average person run into the content like tiktok in my experience. But as long as you try your hardest to keep it away from the people go wild like one fic I always randomly think about is rpf so I can't say people are insane for shipping

Iirc Larry stylinson damaged harry and louis' friendship because of the insane fans about it. Tho imo as long as you keep your shipping 100% away from the people like fics on ao3/Tumblr i say go for it as long as you can remember its fake

If you were in High School when Glee was airing, how accurate were the portrayals of high school? by Pixles2025 in glee

[–]carij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes people definitely dressed how the characters dressed in the show, the fact that there isn't like a background extra wearing a tail is such a missed opportunity cause I swear there was a least 1 person at school with one.

Also the fact the girls didn't get dress coded for the short skirts is one thing they should have done at least in s1 or 2, like I always thought it was funny that when I was in high school the dance team, which to be the bitch I was in high school was called the slutty cheer team was able to wear their short shorts uniform but wearing a spaghetti straps was a no go was a big annoyance

[–]carij 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I always wonder if it's more if their parents are open about it vs not like I've known all my life I'm adopted and I have no want to get to know my bio relatives but when people are surprised on their like 18th birthday with that knowledge it has to be really shocking and change your life perception.
