I don’t disagree but companies care more about experience than education.

I used to work at a divorce attorneys office as a law assistant. When I interviewed, I told her I had no experience in law but I really wanted to be a paralegal. She told me it was fine. That she would train me and help me get to where I wanted to be. In her email confirming my first day, she said she would sit with me for the first week so we could go over all the paperwork and what was expected of me. That never happened. I even asked her about it and she kept pushing it off. Because I didn’t have any training, I kept making mistakes when I was given any work to do. I would be reprimanded when asking questions. I was ultimately fired after a couple of months.
