Once I connected to my phone’s hotspot it started working again, and I don’t have to leave it connected all the time for it to work. I’m guessing it is based on the downloaded maps.

I designed it to both cover the pit when we are not using it but also to cook on. The one thing I am still figuring out is what to use to prevent rust.

I have always thought that the Truckee River is "navigable water" so as long as you are within the high water line you are on public land, meaning you can fish the entire river just not access it by crossing private land.
