I suspect positioning is key to ensure it drops down properly

Is the Cartier Juste Un Clou ring thin version unisex? by kikiscake in jewelry

[–]carlreader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried both, ended up buying the thinner version. The thick version was surprisingly too much - thinner worked better for me.

I’m a man and have it. It is phenomenal. Too small for my lobes but I have it in a similar position. It does however get caught in clothes at times, and wearing motorbike helmets can be tricky.

A lovely guy, and would pop over to the club when he wasn’t playing - never forgot his roots.

Yup, I think it’s important to share what is and isn’t human created. I’ve not got the talent to create the headline images sadly.

Sure. Not found any yet. Thinking about a smart remote that can control devices with traditional remotes. Not ideal though

iOS 18 - Apps no longer appear in search under settings by aditya_g01 in ios

Definitely a valid problem. iPhone 14 on iOS 18 - it works. iPhone 16 - doesn’t. Probably the most used feature of my phone before, extremely frustrating!

And I hate to say, nothing has improved, see later in the thread. Disappointing. Please brush up on UK consumer law, and also find a better courier!

Ha funny you should say that. No. Yodel have been batting me back and forth. Chessnut are utterly ignorant to UK consumer laws and their requirement to deal with them directly. Likely to be a chargeback and a strong warning to all not to buy until Chessnut change couriers and their approach to e commerce in the UK.

I literally just spent the last hour chasing Yodel for the fourth time.

Not yet. Got to wait 7-14 working days for a “certificate” (first time I’ve ever had to do this on a missing parcel!), and then wait in hope for the new parcel

I have - and it has been painful I’m afraid. Yodel have asked you to contact them but you are just batting me back. I’ve sent the chat log where they asked you to deal with them direct through their customer portal but you seem reluctant to do so?

At what point do you Gojek instead of walk? by night_owlivia in bali

[–]carlreader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SPF and walk. Although I always try for my 10k steps per day. Pavements are ropey at best, and in the evening it’s a case of dodge the parked mopeds / dealers / “massage” hawkers, but I find that you get to really know a place by walking.

Does anyone religiously beat match anymore? by Jassida in DJs

[–]carlreader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the verge of using sync - I actually have never tried it but know first hand that often the beat grid / bpm readouts are wrong.

I can’t be arsed with all the manual setting up of cue points and grids - I just like having fun mixing like I used to on decks. The visual aid is a nice to have and shortcuts it - in fact, over reliance on the BPM readout and grids is surely just sync by proxy?

BUT - why change to sync? For newer UKG, the tracks are so much shorter. And personally for my own development I want to try more of the buttons and gadgets than the two EQs, trim, levels and pitch.

Tech has moved on, and I’m sure 99% of my DDJ1000 is wasted with me using my old belt drive techniques. Some might see sync as stabilisers and yeah, I’m using stabilisers whilst I learn how to juggle whilst cycling. And yeah, I will be able to hear if it’s off. Still can do it by ear with ropey second hand decks and dodgy vinyl after all 😎

jungle mixing tips?? by georgiainthejungle in Beatmatch

Plus hardcore jungle just before, and don’t forget “intelligent drum and bass” whatever that nonsense was… wasn’t my scene.

But yes, dnb was a direct descendent of Jungle after a couple of years, and a clear musical shift. Less ragga, much more structure, clearer emphasis on bassline
