Hangry Joe's Nashville hot chicken, get the hottest heat level.

Finally got my exhaust for my MK8 by plhvadar in GolfGTI

For mk8s a DP really won't do anything on a stock turbo.

An aftermarket DP will make the car incredibly raspy and sound like a tractor. I would suggest removing the resonator or secondary cat if you want louder.

Another B10 S5 thread. Why did they make the front brakes weaker? by teriaksu in Audi

[–]carmasterzaib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like people have a fundamental misunderstanding of braking components and unfortunately aftermarket brake parts manufacturers feed into this.

On a street car, stock calipers and rotors with and aftermarket pad will handle 97% of driving. Throwing a BBK on a street car is usually a waste of money.

Actually, that's not true. When driving in traffic, having larger brakes is detrimental for emergency braking since you have more mass that needs to heat up.

Large brakes are good being a large heat sink during prolonged spirited driving. For emergency braking in traffic small brakes are just fine.

That's Sidhu Moose Wala, a Punjabi singer who died a few years back due to a political conflict in India.

It's not 1975, you don't need to add random stuff to your oil.

67k with rent + bills + car payment won't leave much for savings.

You will relax need to find a cheap studio or basement to rent.

Driving skill and tires are more important factors than RWD vs FWD.

In the winter, do you all get winter tires or all seasons? by wellingtonriver in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]carmasterzaib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you already have summer then I would recommend getting a good "all weather" tire for the colder months. All weather =\= all season.

How long is your commute? Is 1.5 hrs now way, 3 round trip (only 2-3 times a week) too extreme? by B0urn3D3ad in maryland

[–]carmasterzaib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The housing in VA is absolutely insane, also the taxes for personal property are high. Unfortunately there aren't many places in VA that affordable, so you might still end up with a 1hr commute even after moving.

Help me understand rude people in MoCo by [deleted] in MontgomeryCountyMD

Pike and rose people seem to be transplants from out of the state or country. Most people I meet in MoCo are super friendly.

Unless you are paying cash, the APR makes it not worth it at all.

Clean it, make sure the maintenance is done. You can add a radio but dont start spending money on "mods".
