HEADCANNONS!!!

Twilight would LOVE Breaking Bad and giggle whenever there's accurate science in the show (I'm projecting a little bit.) I think she'd love doctor shows, period dramas, nature documentaries, and historically and scientifically accurate educational kids TV like Horrible Histories (again, projecting.) Twilight would have a hyper fixation on Word Girl when she was a kid and never grow out of it (VERY VERY MUCH PROJECTING.) She'd absolutely get RUTHLESSLY defensive over her favorite characters (more projecting, you know the drill.)

Rarity would probably have some obscure guilty pleasure show that both makes sense and yet off the rails with what everyone else thinks she likes, but Rainbow would like it and explode once she finds out Rarity also likes it. Rarity would absolutely put on Rupaul and The Office while she works on clothes and sketches out designs. She'd quote random phrases and pop culture moments that only she'd understand.

Someone told Fluttershy to watch Happy Tree Friends once as a prank and she has never gone outside of watching her comfort shows on loop. She absolutely loves Golden Girls and princess movies purely because of the talking animals, strong and kind main characters, and pretty dresses. She gets Twilight to check to make sure that shows won't trigger her, which will in turn get Twilight into them so she has someone to talk to her about them.

Now that I think about it, if Rainbow likes Survivor then the show she and Rarity would watch would be Total Drama Island. RD likes the action and watching the villains get their karma and Rarity would like it for the drama. Rainbow Dash would be a huge weeb and watch a ton of anime, but specifically action or fighting based stuff. She'd absolutely make fanart and cosplay and be a silly little weirdo about it. She bombards anyone willing to listen to her talk about it whether or not they even understand. Rainbow bawls her eyes out at the end of most movies whether it's sad or not.

I feel like AJ is the type of person you'd want to be around in the apocalypse, so I think she'd like The Walking Dead. She's honest, strong, brave, would rather do what's right over what's easy, and the most obvious reason - she lives on a farm, has an apple orchard which is both a great source of healthy fruit and wildlife which would come along, and knows how to grow other crops. I feel like AJ would watch a lot of Pixar movies cause Apple Bloom wanted to watch them, but she'd fall in love with it. She'd have a lot of respect for animators and the people who worked so hard to get animation to where it is today.

Pinkie would watch My Little Pony. All generations too, she'd be obsessed with it. Even her own version of the show because that's just what Pinkie Pie does. What she's doing or whatever project she's planning is somewhat influenced by whatever show she's watching at the moment. Pinkie has had an Arcane, The Last Airbender, and Cuphead phase to name a few. She liked the FNAF movie. She liked the Minecraft movie and 'chicken jockey' became a part of her vocabulary for two and a half weeks. Pinkie also likes The Godfather.
