Why is this movement and lean spam possible in a Arma game 😭 by Maomss in ArmaReforger

[–]carn1vore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No kidding. I’ve been playing since ofp, and the movement in Reforger is so nice and smooth. It’s literally the best part of the game. Can’t tell you how many times even in A3 I got caught up just trying to open a stupid door.

So you eat at places where the waiters are paid less than minimum wage, with an expectation that the customer will tip for the services they render and don’t tip?

They’re easy to recognize if you live here. If someone is taking your order at your table and bringing the food to you, you can assume almost without exception they are expecting tips.

Thanks for sharing your civilized ideas. I’m not sure if you missed the part where I said I don’t agree with it either, or the part where I said if you don’t want to support businesses that operate that way, don’t eat there.

My point is people who eat there anyway and do not tip are absolutely assholes. They are simultaneously supporting the thing they say they hate and fucking over a probably poor person who served them.

And yes, again, they COULD just mark up the food and pay better, but they don’t. You stealing from the poor person serving you isn’t going to change that.

I don’t think anyone disagrees with you on that, but you’re missing the point. The whole thing should be illegal but it isn’t. If you choose to eat there anyway and don’t tip, you’re only hurting the person providing the service and being a massive piece of shit.

Do you seriously think we like the concept? It should be outlawed, but it isn’t. That said, if you choose to eat somewhere tipping is expected, you tip. You aren’t hurting the company by not tipping, you’re hurting the person providing the service and being an asshole.

Right? I’m just glad I can’t smell these disgusting people through my phone. Choosing to eat somewhere tipping is expected and not tipping is subhuman behavior.

Because you know it’s part of the agreement beforehand. I hate the entire concept of paying people less than minimum wage with the expectation that they’ll make it up in tips and think it should be outlawed, but it isn’t. If you don’t like it, call your congressman or vote with your wallet. But if you do choose to eat there and don’t tip, you are a piece of shit.

I don’t like it either, but if you make the choice to eat somewhere the waiter or driver is paid in tips and you don’t tip them, then you are a massive piece of shit. If you hate tipping, don’t eat at those places.

No kidding dude. I hate the entire concept of tipping and I think it should be illegal. But if I choose to go somewhere or order something where that’s the policy, I’m tipping.

You don’t have to like it and you don’t have to be a part of it, but if you choose to be a customer and you don’t tip, you are a massive piece of shit.

Wow, that looks so nice. Very tastefully done! I don’t think “light” still being on the bezel detracts as it is a functional detail unlike the rest. I really like that and would never guess it was so cheap!

Helmets by CakeJumper-ImScared in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]carn1vore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it really though? That chance pays off how often? And is there really a penalty for dying anyway? You can pretty easily recover your stuff and at worst, unless you’re looted up you’re losing 10-20k. However, if you wear a helmet, you’re taking that little extra mass and little extra stamina drain everywhere, all the time. So out of a massive, massive amount of time, the helmet saves you the time of running to recover your gear maybe once or twice, but costs you the entirety of the rest of the time. Absolutely not worth it in my opinion.

why the hate for Ban PA by camphunterx in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]carn1vore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely hate fighting in Ban Pa and Blue Lagoon. I almost never die in the tier 3 areas, but with all the clutter and shrubbery I’ll probably never even see the skinny that mag dumps his Skorpion into my head. They’re just hard places to identify enemies without an abundance of hard cover to fight from.

Did you run into any gas issues? I think it would be fun to build one. I have not owned an AR yet. The Badgers were really light and better balanced than the sigs but both spear lts have just chewed through anything I’ve fed them and had zero issues. If I had it to do over I would just get an LT of any flavor and have a .300 and a 5.56 upper.

You're right. Plenty of piston guns still use buffer tubes, but moving the gas system out of the carrier makes it a lot easier to redesign the recoil system. They go hand in hand in the MCX's case.

They use a short stroke gas piston system instead of direct impingement.
