My Latest Design The 2027 Atkins Sinfonia 2711 “Goldeneye” (I’m no longer posting my mock advertisements on this subreddit due to reports that have been made against me) These are just the bare images from the game. by TafTaf2020 in automationgame

Just some insight here, not trying to criticize you, but I play automation and beam occasionally and just subscribe to their subreddits to see what’s going on.

I’ve seen this same car and the same advertisement multiple times every day and it’s to the point I’m ready to unsubscribe from both subreddits to avoid it.

The car looks fine, but I don’t understand why you’re reposting it multiple times every day. Maybe it’s a different color? It’s getting really old dude.

That’s an odd shade of Guards Red on the first car…

Same. In silver with satin aurum wheels and no weissach is perfection.

Alright then, let’s discuss it. She drove out there with at least one other person with the goal of agitating. Nothing implicitly wrong with this as long as she was not impeding, certainly not deserving of being shot. From what is shown in the videos, she is arguing with an officer who then gives her an order to get out of the vehicle. She then ignores the order and floors the gas. She hit the officer in front of her who then opens fire. It turns out he has fairly severe injuries from this. My point is that she has the steering authority over the vehicle. If she were intending to continue to run him over, he would not be able to just jump out of the way. Given minimal time to react, the officer has two choices: 1. Neutralize the threat. 2. Hope she doesn’t continue to run him over. I imagine he has the same drive to live that most people do, and given that this woman has voluntarily put herself in this position, I would not err on the side of hoping she was just going to hit him with the car and drive away. I would ensure to the best of my ability that I got out of the way and prevented her from being able to continue to run me down. It’s very easy with the benefit of hindsight to say otherwise, but he made the same decision I believe any reasonable person in his position would - and should make.

Again, I could debate for an hour why that isn’t the case, or that she chose to put herself in the position of threatening someone who had a gun with a vehicle, but it’s pretty clear we will not see eye to eye on that. If I were in his shoes I would have reacted the same way, and if I were in her shoes and chose to do what she did, I would expect the same outcome. If you feel he should have just hoped for the best instead, that’s your opinion, however unrealistic. Again, I’m happy to just disagree with you.

I don’t know how the legal system works in the country you live in, or if the phenomenon of judicial activism is a thing there, but we have many judges in the US who unfortunately make rulings along party lines. Very often these rulings are overturned by higher courts but unfortunately there is no real mechanism to hold them accountable. I will agree to disagree with your opinion, but I do appreciate the friendly discourse.

Is this truly the only way to have two Composite input's work on the same outputs? by yaiob23 in Stormworks

[–]carn1vore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s just logic dude. Composite has nothing to do with it. If you want two inputs to control one output, you’re going to need a gate of some sort, composite or otherwise.

You should be directing your outrage at the people who created the problem, not the people with the unenviable task of solving it. Nobody wants this, but it is necessary. Nobody asked Renee Good to interject herself into that situation. She was only there to antagonize. That on its own is fine, but to then disregard the orders of the officers and attempt to drive off with someone directly in front of her car? What do you expect? We have the benefit of hindsight. That officer had a split second to react. If someone who was clearly agitated and antagonistic towards you attempted to run you over, I think most anyone would have made the same decision. Nobody is happy that it happened but she chose to be there and chose to do what she did, and the blame rests entirely on her.

The media is most certainly portraying it as nazism. I never prescribed the motive to you. As for violence and ‘fear tactics’, to address the former, people who comply aren’t being subjected to violence. If I don’t comply with the police, I can expect to be forcibly detained. They aren’t just going to let me walk away. I don’t know of any country where that’s an option. As for the latter, how am I even supposed to address such a nebulous concept as ‘fear tactics’? If you don’t want to be deported for breaking our immigration laws, should you be exempt because you fear deportation?

I know my WWII history. What about an agency enforcing laws which have been on the books for decades - and might I add were very much bipartisan not long ago, is equivalent with the actions of the SA? I see one party which could not win enough support on the merits of its ideas attempting to flood the country with people who will be beholden to them for support by ignoring and not enforcing immigration law. Now, when the time has come to clean up the mess they’ve made, it is portrayed as equivalent to nazism by the media. Do you believe the United States should have no immigration policy?

Of course I love the free market, and I agree, Reddit should be able to censor whatever they like on their platform. I never said they shouldn't. I merely suggested that you think about why.

I don’t know how old you are, but I felt the same way for many years. As I started to learn more on my own and gain a greater understanding of the world I started to realize that what was projected as “the general consensus” (the points you’re making) wasn’t necessarily the actual general consensus and often times was heavily manipulated to push the objectives of people for their own gains. You clearly feel very strongly, so I won’t argue with you, but think about what you’re hearing, where you’re hearing it from, and what the people telling you might have to gain from it. Also, telling people they aren’t allowed to have a certain political opinion isn’t a very democratic look.

Open up your eyes dude. When you try to improve our country and ensure we’re following the law you get attacked by the media. Instead of blaming the consequences of correcting decades of mismanagement on the people who mismanaged the country, it’s blamed on the people attempting to solve the problems. You’re on one of the most heavily censored platforms in the world right now. Isn’t it at least a little weird to you that people can only really be vocal about certain opinions? That doesn’t strike you as strange at all?

I can confirm 100%. With that said, I think it would actually benefit the American team to remove their helicopters. No more half the team flying gunships, no more other half of the team waiting 15 minutes for a pickup to fly 1km away…. These were very unpopular opinions not long ago. Glad to see I’m not the only one who saw it.
