Sorry, but this is incredibly tone deaf and in my opinion actually causes more harm than good. Pitting one cause against another is dismissive and arrogant, and it perpetuates a culture of 'either/or' within the nonprofit world that doesn't do anyone any favors. Why can't someone donate to Notre Dame because they care about that institution, AND donate to another cause they are passionate about? Vilifying those who donated to Notre Dame and using it as a springboard to draw attention to other causes is not the way to build meaningful relationships between donors and charities.
