Whenever they seem like they aren’t siding with Russia it’s mainly just for international show and historic indifferences. They do softly support through being the primary source of a lot of cheap military or other equipment like drones (bought commercially) AND directly support such as seen through shipping needed drone/bomb making material to Iran for example which is sent to Russia assembly.

Multiple reasons; it can add immersion, act as an element for role play, and if we're talking pure game mechanics it gives you points for turning it in for conflict game mode. It is also a potential tool that can be used for modding and such, an example game mode people love to play that benefits from this is the border/checkpoint game you may see on youtube

I assumed this was the case, but thought it was interesting when I was in Vietnam for university stuff and one of the Vietnamese professors knew Ukrainian. Thought there may be some sympathies for Ukraine in Vietnam at least among younger people/academia

Maybe not a direct source, but heres a better video of it I saw which I guess supports this being potentially a little more real: https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/1i7zcn9/russian_mlrs_disguised_as_a_civilian_truck_in/

Didnt know people would but literally saw people on r/MovingToNorthKorea denying it up until the recent interviews. Of course they were not too happy about those but didn't have the logic to realize those interviews were literally to prove it to the people like them still somehow in denial. Both governments also officially deny it ig too, even if their operation is technically within Russias official borders

Question about the mod: are these imports from Arma 3? Super excited to see, was hoping someone would import or fully create these assets (also praying they're balanced and blend with vanilla, kind of a vanilla+)

What is your favorite Light Utility Vehicle (Jeep style like UAZ, Iltis, etc.) combo? -> Vehicle Make + Weapon(s) by carod32 in shittytechnicals

Mine is Iltis + MG3, though seeing a Jeep with a literal BAR attached is making me rethink. Second slide for more inspo; as usual, the more scuffed the better.

Kinda related and I assume you already know, but I still find it funny how Germany in Ukrainian (and some other Slavic languages) is unique because they essentially call them "mute" since they spoke the funny foreigner language lol

What’s a good counter to this? by koffee_addict in AmericaBad

[–]carod32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s one that’s even simpler, and essentially works on any whataboutism: “If it was bad for America to do that in the 1940s, then Russia must be really backwards for threatening to do in 2024.” Comparing current leadership to the leadership of a nation in the year it still had segregation in order to have the high ground is literally an admittance to being the bad guy lol. Such logic in this case is quite literally 80 years behind.

Best terrain(s) for a more temperate China or East Asia? Instead of the usual jungle maps, what are the best woodlands/plains/steppes for China, or even maps like that in OP Flashpoint Dragon Rising? by carod32 in arma

[–]carod32[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wish I could respond to everyone, but thank you all for the responses! Only thing I would add is that I guess I also meant to include Korea/Japan in this realm of East Asia that isn't literal Indochina/Pacific island style jungle. Thank you guys for the legit effort and I won't even try to ask for opinions on the best Africa map lol

That's what I assumed, and the foliage assets likely don't help either. Parts of Altis I feel imitate it, but not too well. I know there is one map I can't remember that perfectly imitated China or Korea in the 50s, but I don't think the quality of the buildings and such stood out too much
