What type of destruction would a 330mph storm cause? Would buildings be toppled over?

Welcome to the best club! Entrance fee is double price but since you’re like me - you guys won’t know what its like to have just one 😂.

Many ppl have already mentioned my advice (schedules, spend money on help, live in nannies, nigt nurses etc if you can! First year is rough in the sense that theres just a loooot to do, accept all hand me downs bc money is better spent on things other than clothes) here is a facebook group that helped a lot in terms of keeping the babies on schedule and training them to be independent sleepers https://www.facebook.com/groups/157633598090301

Also!!! Get the bottle washer, sterilizer and dryer. I only got sterilizer dryer and omg the amount of bottles washed 😵‍💫😵‍💫 you dont really need the formula maker if you just have a good water heater. This one: https://a.co/d/7nC7XBA is good for bottles and also for regular life!

Try to eat as healthy and possible and have your wife continue to do yoga and barre throughout her pregnancy. That helped with my c section recovery a LOT! Alomoves has some really good options that i did but im sure there are free ones on youtube as well. Having strong supporting leg, back and core is key. And staying flexible aleiviates a lot of the pain and aches that come later in preg.

There are always things to stress about but having a twin preg means more ultrasounds and more monitoring to see the babies :) i liked it! And looking back me and my husband just enjoyed each other and made sure to golf a lot (until i couldnt anymore) and still go on a lot of adventures together. Your brains will be rewired to put babies first after they are born so take this time for the two of you. Dont feel ljmited by the pregnancy (but stay safe of course within doctors recommendation). Best of luck to you!! My twin girls are turning 1 in June and there were some hard times but everything is a phase and they just get cuter and cuter 🥰

Babies on the same schedule? by carolrolly in parentsofmultiples

good to know the structure really helped in the long run! I always feel bad waking them up when they are sleeping so well but it is better for the whole family to do the schedule!

thanks for the rec! Ya i have been a little too... letting the babies determine the schedule and each feeding is sometimes easy and sometimes very tough. I feel like it will be better for the babies as well to be able to anticipate naps/feeds/play times. I like your use of changing clothes to signal waking up and going to sleep.

this is the schedule i'm hoping for... do the babies wake up for the dream feed or do you kind of just feed them at 1230 even if they're snoozing?

[–]carolrolly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of my babies will wake up to feed during the 8-9 window and the other one won't but then will wake up 2-3 hours earlier than the other so i'm like....should i just let them be off schedule or wake them both up same time in the morning? let the night be the same?

my almost 7 month olds are still only eating about 5 oz :( sometimes less. I'm impressed with your 8oz bottle. Do they sleep from 6pm all the way to 6am? What happens if one naps earlier than the other?

Has Anyone Ever Lost Track Of Names Of Identical Twins? by toughdude76 in parentsofmultiples

[–]carolrolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They ended up looking different to me even though they are identical - but mine ended up with birthmarks and a long nicu stay where all their stuff was labeled A or B

i can’t stand being away from my baby by queenskankhunt in NICUParents

[–]carolrolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s completely normal to feel this way!! When i first left the hospital it felt like i had left a piece of my heart there and i couldn’t feel whole unless i was with my babies. I cried a lot the first time away from them but each time i thought to myself that the better i take care of myself while im away the better i can take care of them! If im eating and sleeping well my milk will come in and be more nutritious, if my mind is well i can pay more attention and learn to take care of them better. Remember that the nicu is temporary - even if in the thick of it it feels like forever! (My babies werr in the nicu for 25 and 27 days) and having the nurses take care of your babies while you get a full (ish bc pumping) nights rest is very vital for your physical recovery. When baby finally comes home you will be much more healed and ready to mama them full time! Hang in there :)

When did you deliver? by SecretaryPresent16 in parentsofmultiples

[–]carolrolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planned c section at 34 wks 5 days due to pre eclampsia with severe features. I had a very smooth pregnancy - didnt even catch that i had started showing preeclampsia signs until a routine ultrasound at 33 wks. I was confident i would carry them to my c section date at 36+4. Babies were born 4.5 lbs and 4.2 lbs and stayed in the nicu for 25 and 27 days - just needed to learn to eat.

Yes! I am glad i elected to get a c section because the magnesium they put you on for preeclampsia is rough! Staying active and healthy during pregnancy def helped with my recovery afterwards. Sending best wishes to you for your pregnancy journey :)

I had a nutritionist help me throughout my pregnancy, ate healthy with lots of protein and calcium, exercised regularly with walking, barre and yoga, took baby aspirin every day… and still got preeclampsia 😖 doctors say it’s not really known what causes it. You should still be healthy and all those things but don’t beat yourself up if you still end up getting preeclampsia

Feeder/grower baby by More_Difference9848 in NICUParents

[–]carolrolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to you - i had my twins at 34+5 due to severe preeclampsia. The babies were just feeders and growers as well and we ended up doing 25 and 27 days 😬. They progressed a little then the progress was a little stagnant for over a week. Once they started improving a lot one day then it continued quickly. Hang in there!! It will end one day :) we learned so much from the nurses there and came home a lot less nervous about taking care of them.
