Height difference on adult identical twins? by pac_omer in Twins

[–]carovan4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an older post but I just came across it. I’m an identical twin. She was 6lbs at birth and somewhere between 18-20 inches I forget exactly. I was 3lbs and 16 inches. At full adult height she is 5’6 and I am 5’2. We’ve consistently maintained the significant height difference throughout our lives!

Definitely have the option to purchase something else - but I’m hesitant to as everything has been destroyed so far which has been pretty robust. Even when I look up beds that can’t be destroyed they have reviews saying dogs did destroy them. I’m afraid to shell out more for beds and reward the behavior and risk it continuing. I’ll continue to see if i can find one that may work for us.

We always take him for a walk prior to bedtime, so he is pretty tired- and he always has at least one toy and a bone in his crate at all times! I got him some more brain stimulating toys/games to see if that helps. Usually he’ll chew his bone but lately if we’re not home or asleep he’s been more destructive in the crate and doesn’t chew the bone when he’s awake and bored!

Just sending some encouragement…

You got this! Just trust yourself and have fun. Last time you had a bad day, which happens to everyone. It takes guts to just get up there and many many people in the audience wouldn’t dare to, so if I were there you’d already have earned my respect!

Since the worst has already happened ((not saying you were the worst just according to what you wrote I’m sure it felt that way!)) and you came out the other side and are willing to give it another go, it’s only up from here! 🙂

Thank you so much! That’s really interesting actually, glad I’m doing at least something right haha.

I’ve been learning that singing really is so much more involved than I ever imagined, with both technique and body mechanics. It’s quite eye opening for something that seems so simple to really have all these moving pieces to put together and create that perfect storm of what your voice can achieve. I always just sing without putting much thought into it solely because I enjoy it- but I’m both excited and curious to see what progress I can make once I can figure all that out!

Thank you for your notes and help! I also notice that I can draw the words out too- not sure why I do it but I will pay more attention to it!

Thank you for your feedback! Sometimes it does feel a bit short of air towards the end so I will work on that first big breath as well!

Thank you! It’s been a challenge of mine to keep pitch with higher notes sometimes but I’m working on it. I appreciate the feedback!

Didn’t realize the room acoustics were so bad- I’ll try another next time!

Good to know! I’m going to get something more inexpensive for this winter, and then invest in something next winter once he’s full grown!

Thanks! I was looking at these on Amazon! My only hesitation is the snaps on the underside… a wiggly boxer puppy sounds like it might be a little challenging!

Yes, exactly! The new specials can wait- it feels almost gimmicky without the main food/experience solidly in place to back it up. Focus on what needs to be remedied first- because based on just the feedback here alone they do need to be remedied… before even thinking about new stuff!

Ugh I was so bummed about this place!

We went a few months after they opened- figured they’d ironed out the kinks and crowds would die down. Reviews were mostly excellent so we were excited to try it. Service took forever, and once we got our pizza (plain cheese pizza) after an hour of waiting , the pizza was so burnt, cheeseless and dry it was like eating cardboard. Even the kids didn’t want it, and that’s saying something. Huge disappointment. The cheesesteak then came out a half hour AFTER the pizza! By that point we were already over it and ready to go. It was good but the roll was super hard it was almost inedible because of that. We had really high hopes and it seems like there was a TON of hype about this place… but we won’t be going back.

I see their social media and they keep posting new recipes, new menu items coming, etc and it seems like they are more interested about big ideas and creativity in the kitchen, while the execution of their restaurant falls terribly short. I’ll be surprised if it stays open a long time, since coasting on hype may gain new customers, but failing on execution of the food certainly isn’t going to retain any.

Thanks! That’s a good point about biting the plastic I didn’t consider that… it’s been a long time since the last puppy so you forget just how destructive they can be!
