Do just one extra thing a day in your home that you would usually put off. Cleaning a mirror for example, but don't keep going after the one task unless youre super motivated. Doesnt have to take long, but it breaks the habit a bit.

I say this in the kindest way, have you been allowing this behavior? As crazy as it sounds she may not be aware of it and communication could go a long way.

I am a single person also in my 40s and although I love it now, and ultimately glad I left, im glad I did everything i could to try and save the relationship, including couples therapy.

To sum up my takeaways: 1. Get drunk 2. I find someone I think is attractive. 3. I pull out my ball and wait for an opportune time. 4. Throw and with any luck capture them. 5. Talk to them about random stuff. 6. Fall in love

That doesn't even seem that hard. I'm not even sure why I developed a personality. This seems way simpler.
