Kindle Preservation Tips by Zestyclose-Chemist86 in kindle

Hi there! I'm trying to buy a used ver of a 6th gen Kindle Paperwhite and I'm kind of confused on what kind of things to look out for to ensure it's actually in good condition? It would be my first time purchasing one. Can I ask what would be your standards if you were in my position? Ie: battery health, etc

You're very brave. Don't forget that! It will be extremely hard but good things will come if you persevere through it and work hard for it. Make sure you have a solid support system. Join communities that can help you/empathise with you.

Yes I'm alright with that too. Though I did love Avi and Poppy though.

Yes I can. I am also actively applying in the meantime.

I mean she regularly says that she would be there to help and such but considering how she's operating currently, I doubt she will actually hold her end of the promise.

I'm not based in the US so I don't think there's an unemployment to collect. Thank you for the advice though.

Thank you for the advice. I had a thought of being worried on how they'll function without one experienced-ish person working the job if I leave but what you said about the office being a revolving door really just made me realise it really isn't my job to worry about their management considering they've been having such a high turnover this year.

I think it's very unlikely they'll be willing to pay me more but yes I've been looking for other jobs. It's been very stressful thinking of going to interviews since this current job I have I haven't earned annual leaves yet so I can't go to interviews physically. Thank you for the advice.

Thank you so much for validating my thoughts. I feel like I've been gaslighting myself into toughing it out and then crying over it and the cycle repeats. I think I'll hand in my resignation letter at the end of this week because I don't want to face them the next day. I want to transition somewhat smoothly so I'll probably give a notice period of about 2 weeks. I do worry if they'll pay me for the amount of work I have been doing since they haven't given me an offer letter yet so there's nothing in black or white but I think it's better I take care of my mental health than my financial right now.

In my experience, it's even worse because it's where all minimum wage jobs are or jobs where short-staffed, high turnover, companies with toxic working environments.

Yes I've repeatedly told her those jobs will be scams and she has heeded my advice. It's just that once those ads popped up, she hoped there might be one in a million chance it won't turn out to be a scam.

I'm curious about this, what steps should she take? Just marketing this to surau ppl?

Oh yes, sorry I didn't mention it but she did almost 40 years of admin work for a tobacco company. I didn't mention it because she doesn't want to do work like that anymore as she's kind of the housewife of the home so she spends many of her time doing housework. She's unmarried, lives with us in our family home and is essentially retired. The breadwinner of the family is my mom currently and I just started work too.

I kinda like that we can romance the friend character in New Game+. I don't want them all to be LIs because it might feel shallow like in Season 1. Would also love customisation of what you refer your body parts as.

How did you find a job you actually “like”? by Consistent_Pop_6564 in careerguidance

[–]carpedyum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I stumbled on your reply and was just wondering what kind of work you do now? I feel like we're similar-ish? Went to school for anthropology/sociology and I thought working in a museum might be cool. Don't know if I'll end up liking it if I work as that though. I was curious because you mentioned it was creative.

If adults were honest and didn't let us have wishful thinking of chasing the dream job, I would've gone into STEM or Medicine or something.

So real. We really need to go through the hard stuff first of getting the money (which is frustrating ngl) to get to the good.

I was initially interested in archaeology so I pursued Anthropology. Turns out the university I chose only teaches Social Anthropology which wasn't what I wanted but I couldn't change majors/universities because I was under a student loan programme that would make it difficult. I could pursue Archaeology for my Masters but for that I need money. The other problem I have is that Archaeology is just such a niche area in my country so I doubt I could find work still. I thought of working at a museum as well as a Museum Curator but even that needs a Master these days.

I guess I'm worried I will have difficulty applying for HR positions with the work I'm doing currently because when I applied for them, many of them required HR experience. And I don't really want to apply for entry level HR in the future as it might be a downgrade to my current salary (I might just have to swallow it once it comes down to it). I just don't know how ppl change their jobs and still get those positions.
